Scheme goals, work programme and status updates:

(A) (Goals): To bring awareness among people regarding cultivation of flowers

as income generating activity. Production of landscape plants,

flower seedlings, bulbs, herbs with medicinal and aromatic properties,

house plants & essential oils-revenue generation thereof.

(B) Work Programme: Propagation/Multiplication of landscape plants, aromatic and

Medicinal plants, raising of flower seedlings (seasonal) bulb

Production, production of rose oil and lavender oil, and

pot-culture.

( C) Status updates: Large number of planting material/Flower seedlings/Bulbs will be

put on sale among common people/interested growers in due

course of time.

Description of Services offered by Scheme:

(i) Technical Assistance

(ii) Supply of quality planting material

(iii) To bring awareness among interested growers regarding cultivation of flower

on commercial scale for employment/revenue generation.

(a) Model Floriculture Center at (b) Herbal Garden at Lalmandi

Nunar Ganderbal Lalmandi-Srinagar.

Project area = 8 Hectt. Project Area =3 Hectt.

Area covered under Lilium =1.50 Hect Area Covered =2 Hect.

Gladiolus =0.20 Hect Project cost =Rs.12.75 lakh

Cut Roses =0.20 Hect Allocation = 07.50 lakh.

Seasonal Flowers =0.25 Hect Year of Estt. =Aug 2008

Cropping season = Kharief 2009.
