 METHOD 1: You can customize your windows update using advanced option page. You can prevent your Windows from automatically download of updation and customize your update settings. 

In the Start Menu, open Settings app and go to “Update & Security-> WindowsUpdate”.

Click on “Advanced option”.

To prevent automatic download of a new update, uncheck the “Give me updates for other Microsoft products when I update” option.

Now enable the “Defer upgrades” option. After enabling this option, the new update cannot download and install in your computer for several days and months.

After this, click “choose how update are delivered” link and Off the slider given under “Update from more than one place”.

In my computer, click right and select “Properties”. It opens the System Properties Windows and then click “Advanced system settings”.

Now go to “Hardware” tab and click “Device Installation Settings” button. You will see “Yes, do this automatically” option would be selected by default in the window.

This will open a new Window and after then select the second option “No, let me see what to do”. After this select the second option “Install driver software from windows update if it is not found on my computer.

Click on “Save Changes” button and your process will complete.

In right side pane, select AU key and create a new DWORD NoAutoUpdate and set its value to 1.Now close Registry Editor and open Window Update and click on “Check forUpdates” button to apply changes
