Greetings
The Academy is buzzing with excitement as we prepare to enter a highly active Spring season of
recruitment expositions and competitions As we gear up to engage more prospective
community and industry partners I would be remiss if I did not pause to thank a couple of people
who are always found promoting assisting and sponsoring Academy students and initiatives
Michael Davis- Executive Director for Connect South Fulton
Mr Davis provides the leadership for attracting global investors to the South Fulton region for the
purpose of enhancing the quality of life for each of the distinguished cities that make up South
Fulton For the past two years Mr Davis has brought sponsors prospective business leaders and
city representatives to draw attention and raise awareness of the unique student work happening
in the College and Career Academy We want to personally and openly express appreciation for
all of his patronage and sponsorship Our students have gained lots of experience and exposure
as a result of the referrals he has provided
Barbara Colman-Contractor with Fulton County Capital Improvement
Ms Colman is a contractor working through and with our districts Capital Improvement
Department From the first day she came to the Academy Ms Colman personally committed
to working tirelessly to ensure that all students incapable of paying for entry to state and regional
competitions would be sponsored and she had delivered on that promise every year Students
and parents have expressed gratitude for the gracious finances that have been donated and
collected through Ms Colmans efforts Ms Colman is a testament of the sincere and productive
relationships that have been established with members of our community
