EYESHalloween Butterfinger

Ingredients

1 cup creamy peanut butter6 tablespoons butter, softened2 cups powdered sugar2 1∕8 ounces Butterfinger bar,finely chopped12 ounces white chocolate or12 ounces vanilla candy coating40 M&M's plain chocolatecandyred food coloring or decoratinggelblack food coloring ordecorating gel

EYESHalloween Butterfinger Directions

In a mixing bowl stir togetherpeanut butter and butter untilcreamy.

Gradually add powdered sugar,stirring until combined.

Stir in Butterfinger candy.

Shape into 1­inch balls; place onwaxed paper.

Freeze about 45 minutes.

Melt white chocolate in a doubleboiler or get a med sauce panfilled 1/4 of the way with waterand heat until simmering andplace a large glass or stainlesssteel bowl over top and turn heatoff ­if water is boiling it willscorchchocolate.

Add chocolate to bowl, stirconstantly until melted andsmooth Dip balls, one at a time, intocoating. Let excess coatingdripoff.

Place on waxed paper,immediately press an M&Monto center of each peanutbutter ball (you can also wait toput M&M's on until after setandjust use a dot of your pipedcolored chocolate to adhere)

Refrigerate until coating is firm.

Using leftover white chocolateadd red food coloring untildesired color is reached (youmay have to reheat) and placein a ziploc or pastry bag,cut acorner very small, pipesquiggly lines on eyes tomakethem look blood shot or usered decorating gel.

Add a dot of black gel or blackfood colored coating to thecenter of M&M pieces forpupils.

12 chocolatecupcakes12 ounces chocolatefrosting (canned)1⁄2 cup chocolatesprinkles (jimmies)24 pieces bassettsliquorice allsorts, willbe used for eyes, solook for ones thatwhen cut have acenter8 ounces blacklicorice (the thin"string" kind)

Directions

Frost the cupcakes withchocolate icing andcover with sprinkles.

Press the eyes intoplace.

Use scissors to cut eight4-inch pieces of licoricefor the legs (for eachspider).

Holding all of the legstogether in a bunch,bend them in half andcrease.

Push the end of eachleg into the cupcake toresemble spider legs.

1 (6 ounce) packageraspberry gelatinpowder or 1 (6 ounce)package grape gelatin3 (1/4 ounce) envelopesunflavored gelatin3 cups boiling water100 flexible plasticstraws1 tall slender 4 cupcontainer (same heightas extended straws)3⁄4 cup whipping cream12 -15 drops green foodcoloring

In a bowl, combinegelatins.

Add boiling water; stiruntil gelatins completelydissolve. Chill untillukewarm, about 20minutes.

Meanwhile, gently pullstraws to extend to fulllength; place in tallcontainer.

Blend cream and foodcoloring with thelukewarm gelatin mixture.Pour into container, fillingstraws.

Chill until gelatin is firm, atleast 8 hours, or cover andchill up to 2 days.

Pull straws from container (ifusing a carton, tear cartonaway from straws).

Pull straws apart; run hot tapwater for about 2 secondsover 3 to 4 straws at a time.

Starting at the empty ends,push worms from strawswith rolling pin, or use yourfingers; lay worms on waxedpaper-lined baking sheets.

Cover and chill until ready touse, at least 1 hour or up to 2days.
