Objectives:
Teachers will learn how to utilize Web 2.0 tools in the classroom. Teachers will learn how to utilize Audiovox, Voicethread, Glogster, and Animoto.

Justification for Objectives:
Parish, State, and Local Technology plans include the following statements which will be met through this professional development:u All Louisiana teachers will be proficient in the use of
technology to enhance students learning.u All students will use age appropriate technology to
collaborate and communicate with experts and peers.

Outline for Professional Development:u Introduction
u Teachers will discuss the important of utilizing technology in the classroom setting.
u Teachers will be shown four different Web 2.0 tools that can be utilized with students to inspire creativity and innovation to display that they have learned.
u Voicethreadu Teachers will be introduced to VoiceThread and will watch a video
introduction to the website and what it can do for students.u Teachers will be allowed to browse through the website and find some
Voice Threads that they like and would possibly want to replicate in their classrooms.
u Teachers will then create their own voice thread. Teachers will be allowed to view more introductory videos if they want, or they can just start exploring.
u Teachers will share their Voice Threads with others and discuss what ways they would like to implement this in their class in the future.

u GlogsteruTeachers will watch introductory video about Glogster.uTeachers will discuss ways in which they can use Glogster in their
classrooms.uTeachers will experiment with Glogster and discuss possible problems
with using Glogster in the classroom.uTeachers will browse with Glogs and decide on one way that they could
utilize Glogster in their classrooms as an assessment.u Animoto
uTeachers will view an Animoto slideshow before beginning. uTeachers will be asked how this tool can be used in the classroom.uTeachers will experiment with Animoto and discuss what project they
could possibly use this tool on in their classroom to inspire student creativity and innovation.
