We are so thankful to you for
our generous Christmas gifts.
It is such a joy to work along
side of you in service to our
wonderful Lord. We are all united in prayer
seeking God’s plans for our new church year.
May His name be magnified and may many
come to faith in 2020.
Thank you again for loving each of us.
My word I chose to cling to this year was “BE.” I have learned to be content, be thankful, be patient, be kind,
so many things I’ve learned to be. One thing I really had to grasp was “be loved.” It has been a long lonely
year. I have struggled with issues of feeling loved. But through these feelings is where I realized I’m loved
more than I ever could imagine. After I finally realized and accepted the choir was not coming this year, I
found my peace. Yes, I feel as if I have been wandering for 40 years in the desert but in the back of my mind
I know I will reach the promised land. God is teaching me to be strong and to be satisfied. He reminds me
daily as I receive my manna from heaven. I will be traveling back to Uganda on December 27, for 1-2 months.
I will be meeting and discussing future projects with our pastors on how to improve the quality of life for the
schools. I will be carrying “blessings through gifts” that have been provided by many of you. Also, I will be
spending some quality time with the choir from 2018 and past choir members and offering encouragement. I
don’t know the outcome of this choir and I realize I’m still “wandering” in the desert but through God’s
grace, He continues to walk with me, take care and nurture me. Through all the things that have gotten me
to this point, I’ve learned in these final days of December 2019 to BE FAITHFUL. God is God, God is good,
God is who He says He is and above all else…”I BE-LIEVE” Him. Please keep me and Pennies for Posho in
your prayers. We will continue to take this time and listen to His voice. I ask for prayers as I travel and for
the projects that I will be overseeing. My final thought is, we all have a purpose and I strongly believe that
through Pennies for Posho and my dedicated church family, I am able to WALK IN MY PURPOSE and that’s
an amazing feeling to have. By the way my word for 2020 is “JOY”. Love you all, Sherry Almond
