Presents GRAND ROUNDS
Largely for historical reasons, the United States health care system focuses on providing technically
sophisticated medical care at the bedside and in doctor’s offices. While this approach has led to
remarkable advances in clinical care, emerging research in neuroscience, epidemiology, and
political science reveals that improvements in population health require new organizational
approaches that challenge decades-old practice. CEUs may be available.

The Florida Health Grand Rounds will be a monthly presentation given by a researcher from one of Florida’s universities. The topics will have
a broad focus touching on emerging, innovative and cross-cutting areas of public health. The goal is to provide an opportunity for Florida
researchers to highlight and share their work, leading to a more efficient transition into public health practice. CEU’s may be available.
