Double Page SpreadDouble Page Spread

In order to do my double page spread, I had to consider what the actual article will be about. The article will be about Flawless, the new girl group and an interview about them.

The main image of Flawless will be on the left hand side taking up the whole page

The main cover line will be underneath on the left hand side and will be called ‘Getting Down To Business’

The Leading Text will be underneath the main cover line however at this stage I have not though about what I will call it.

The main body text is from my own words and tried to relate it to music, as they are a new girl group.

The Slug will be placed on the top right hand corner with a line underneath it, so then it looks more professional.

I then added an image of the girl group which I have used the Magnetic Lasso Tool, to take away the pink background so then I am able to insert the image on the right hand side of the double page spread.

I also added a quote saying ‘Ours Fans Are Very Important To Us’ to show that this was spoken by the girl group and that it will make the double page spread looks more realistic and professional.

I also change the body text by using the font of Broadway and size 11, so then it is readable for the audience. I also changed the colours into the theme of black and pink so then it matches the main image of Taiens and Abigail.

I changed the font and size of the main cover line to Broadway and out in a white backdrop so then it stands out from the rest of the page.

The leading text is Tamanna Zaman talks to the new girl group Flawless about their new single. I have decided to do this, as it will attract readers to read the article.

I also made the image of Taiena and Abigail more better, by holding onto the ‘shift’ button and scrolling upwards on my mouse.

I also added a page number at the corner on the right hand side so then the audience are able to see what the page number is.

I added a tag of the girl group at placed it underneath their photo.

However I did not like the cover line of the double page spread, so I changed the font into Hand Of Sean which can then match the cover lines on the front of the music magazine. I also kept the white backdrop so then it will stand out more in the page and will look more attractive.

From feedback from my media teacher, I was told to change the font of the main body text as it was unreadable and was not clear. By taking on this feedback, I was happy enough to change it so then it is more accessible for the readers.

I also changed the font of the quote into Hand of Sean to match the main cover line. I also have feedback saying to change the quote as this sounds more important and more effective than the old one. I also added a black backdrop in order for it to stand out more.

The main important thing that I did, was that I made sure that I aligned all the body text so then it flows in one direction. I did this by using the grid on the view toolbar at the top.

However, from naming the girl group, I had feedback saying to change it and name it the title of the music magazine which is Flava.

From getting feedback from my media teacher, I considered to change the group name from ‘Flawless’ to ‘Pretty In Pink’ so then it is more related to the pink theme.

I spotted a typing mistake. I changed the leading text from ‘theier’ to ‘their’

I changed the slug name to ‘Exclusive – Pretty In Pink Interview’ I added text in the double page spread which was missing. I added ‘Our’ and changed the answer to question five, to ‘I'm sure you’ll hear about if first’ and to in the last answer.

I also added an outro, to end the interview on a positive level, so then readers are able to read more about the girl group on MySpace.

I also added a black back drop shadow on the ‘Flava’ text so then it stands out more for the readers

I then added a white back drop shadow on the page number, so then it will stand out more for the readers. I also changed the number to ‘23’ so then it will match my contents page
