The most important things to remember !!!
Chapter 2 is not about your topicChapter 2 is about how the literature sets
up your methodologyEverything should lead the reader
towards better understanding your study

that directly relate to your methodology
4. Discuss it in your voice

Remember
1. You have the mastery over your topic, you have researched it for over a year.
2. You should be able to write about it as though you were having a conversation about those points which were so interesting to you that you decided to research them further.
Success is when ALL the pieces add up to YOUR study
Do you include:1. Topic areas that
reflect your research question and the variables you are studying?
2. Discussions of your topics that uncover gaps which lead to your research?
3. Discussion of the methodological choice you made?
Chapter 2 Outcomes
You know you’ve done it when:
1. Your reader doesn’t go to sleep somewhere in the middle of your discussion
2. Your readers make comments like, “good point, hadn’t thought of that”
3. You can read it to a family member or friend and they remain interested or ask questions
