Fall is my avorite season. Te dog days o summer have
come to an end and everyone is eeling rejuvenated,
ready to get ocused and tackle another school year. Its
a time o new beginnings and resh starts, but all that
good eeling can vanish pretty quickly i you dont have a vision.
Whats your plan? What will you set out to accomplish this year?
In this Falls Back to School issue I pose a challenge to each
and every one o you. Tis school year I want you to dene and
implement your gameplan as it pertains to getting a college
education. Did you know that only twenty-two percent o
Floridians have a bachelors degree or higher? Tats a little less
than 1 in 4. Yet, over the course o a lietime, a college graduatewill earn one million dollars more than someone with just a high
school education. Tat can mean a signicant diference in liestyle.
So while you may antasize about having the nice car and the big
house, i you dont have a college education its likely that youll
only live out that liestyle in your dreams.
Te best thing about crating your college plan is that there is
literally a world o options to choose rom. Maybe a traditional
4-year university isnt or you. Tis issue sheds light on other
college options beyond the mainstream. Inside well introduce you
to a ew o Floridas best community colleges, online programs,
design schools, and HBCUs. Well also let you know where to get
started researching those schools and what its like to be a student
on those campuses. While the sheer number o college options
can be overwhelming, take heart in the knowledge that theres
something out there just or you.
We lost an icon this summer, and inside these pages our readers
remember the King o Pop. We also give you the lowdown on the
best witter destinations or teens and educate you on the darkside
o digital behavior in an article on Sexting and its consequences.
As you gear up or back to school, say goodbye to summer crushes,
and reunite with old riends, I want you to remember that youre in
the drivers seat when it comes to your uture. So put the pedal to
the medal and let it ride!
Wishing you well,

I you havent been living under a rock or the
last ew months, then youve probably heard o
witter. witter is a ree social-networking service
that enables its users to send and read messages
known as tweets. weets are text-based posts o up to
140 characters displayed on the authors prole page
and delivered to the authors subscribers who are known
as followers. I youve ever tried to send a text message
and had to cut it short due to character restrictions, thenyouve already got the idea behind witter: when it comes
to tweets pithy reigns supreme.
he tech world is all a-twitter about teens and their
witter traic. According to Graham Brown rom Mobile
Youth, Under 25s now constitute 25% o twitter usage
the largest single age group. But questions have been
raised about what percentage o that number is 13-17
vs. 18-25 year-olds. More than one social networking
expert has suggested that as long as teens can update
their status via MySpace and Facebook or their riends
as well as IM and text, witter doesnt really add to the
existing technology.
What is it about witter that teens nd less-than-
appealing? When I rst heard o witter, I must coness
I was like, Whats the point? I mean, who really cares
about reading snippets o your daily lie? But the good
news is that theres more to witter than just obsessive
sel-promotion and constant surveillance. witter is a great
destination or everything rom good reads to ree stuf.
Heres a breakdown o the best tweets or teens:

College Tweets: Tinking about college? Why not
ollow your schools o interest on witter? Much more up-
to-date and unny than a blog, college witter posts give
you a glimpse o what lie will really be like on campus. You
can even trade tweets with students on campus.
Twitter Deals: Everyone loves a bargain, especially
with the economy in such a rut. Follow your avorite

It is time or Back to School, and as thelast ew weeks o a lazy summer wind down
you begin to realize it has been just that: lazy.
All those workout routines you vowed to do
back in May were pushed to the side, and the
only Core you worked on this summer was in
the middle o an Oreo cookie.
Now that school is back in session, you
realize that your energy levels are too low and
that gym class is suddenly dicult. Fear no
more. Follow through on this quick routine
and all those latent, under-worked muscles
in your buns and thighs will snap back intoaction in no time.
Lower body muscles are vastly
underappreciated, and oten overlooked
when exercising and showing o. When
asked to ex and show o our stu, it is rare
to fnd someone that will pull up their pant
legs to show o hard rippling quadriceps.
Instead, they curl their arm, or show o their
washboard abdominals.
You may not realize it but your legs are the
oundation o every movement you make
throughout the day. Leg muscles get you
rom class to class, lit you up stairs, and get
you back home. Tey get us through our day,
and most importantly lower body muscles
protect our knees rom injury.
Tese muscles are the largest and most
powerul in the entire body, and luckily they
are among the astest to respond to training.
You can see results in as little as ten days.
Te common misconceptions about squatsand other popular leg exercises is that they
will lead to hulking bulky muscles. Tis is just
not so. oned leg muscles will look leaner
longer, while special bulking high weight
exercises will lead to more colossal muscles.
Strong leg muscles are important not only
to look long and lean in a pair o shorts, but
also to improve stamina and endurance.

Iconsider mysel to be pretty up on
the latest technology and trends.
But when I rst heard the word
sexting I completely thought it was
a joke. Sexting? Tat cant possibly be in the
dictionary! Nevertheless, as unny as the
word sounds, sexting is a serious matter that
is aecting teens across the country. While it
hasnt made it into Websters yet, the term
sexting reers to the transmittal o sexual
images through the phone or via e-mail. o
nd out more about this phenomenon, Iinterviewed Detective Eric Hendel o the
Broward Sheris Ofce and he gave me
valuable inormation that every teen should
know. Here is what I ound out:
TVM: Who is mostly involved in
sexting?
Detective Hendel:eens that are in middle
school are mostly the ones sexting. Most
cases involve a girl sending her boyriend or
someone she likes a picture o her exposed
body and then it mysteriously is sent to others.
Girls, wake up! Didnt your mother always tellyou to use your head! Sending someone your
exposed body is not cool. We understand the
whole ree to do whatever you want speech,
but things happen. Moreover, you do not
want to be the one that it happens to, so be
smart about it. Tose images being sent over
e-mail can be picked up by porn companies
and used on their websites. Its not a good
thing to think about but it happens.
TVM: Is sexting illegal? What are the
consequences?
Detective Hendel: Yes it is. Each image
is a third degree elony punishable by up to
ve years in prison. I convicted o possession
and distribution o sexual perormance
by a child, the person is registered as a sex
oender. Even people as young as 16 years o
age can become a registered sex oender, dueto sexting. In addition, both the sender and
receiver are equally culpable under the law.
TVM: What should you do if you have
already participated in sexting?
Detective Hendel: First thing, SOP!
Erase all the pictures in your phone and do
not send any to anyone else. Use common
sense. I you are engaged in a relationship,
keep it private. eens should have more sel-
respect and dignity than to do things such as
sexting. I the person you are with is anxious
to see your body, make them wait. Also, do
not let anyone orce you into something you
know is not right, because at the end you willbe the one looking oolish.
TVM: What should I do if someone
sexts me?
Detective Hendel: I someone sexts you
erase it immediately. I the picture is ound
in your phone, you are responsible and guilty
just the same as the person who sent it to
you. Te reason why you would be guilty is
because you consciously saved it in your
phone instead o deleting it immediately
ater receiving it. At the end o the day youjust need to say no to sext, whether sending
or receiving. tv

W
e all have wished that summer was a little longer
every year. Who doesnt want to go hang out
with riends everyday and not have to worry
about catching up on homework? Having a
summer hangover is when youre too tired and not enthusiastic at
all about going back to school. It s hard to get out o the cycle
o sleeping in all day and catching up on your avorite
shows. But the reality is no one can be successul by
not doing anything. (Unless youre Paris Hilton.)
So here are a ew ways to shake o some o that
couch potato attitude.
4 Start waking up early. Even though
school hasnt started, it would still be a good idea
to get back in the habit o getting uparound the time school starts. Act as i
you are really going to school the next day.
Start going to sleep an hour or two earlier
beore the time you usually climb into
bed. I know youre used to hanging out late
with your riends. But when it gets closer to
the time or school to start, the responsible
decision to make is to abstain rom all the partying so it wont be that
dicult to adjust to the school hours.
4Read at least a page a day. When school starts its
back to reading. Whether youre taking science, math, or P.E. reading
will be on the syllabus. Reading beore school starts will help you
get back in the classroom routine. So when you go back to school
and the teacher gives some type o reading assignment, you wont
have to dread doing it because you will already be prepared. Countless
research has shown that reading makes you smarter; helps keepreasoning and memory intact, and boosts general knowledge. Who
wouldnt want that?
4Get involved. Get your head in the game. You go to school
to get an education and graduate. All the extracurricular
activities are or your beneft, so use them to your
advantage! Start looking into the things that interest
you. It could either be a club or sportsas long as
youre a part o something, you can never go wrong.
Also make a list o goals that you would like to
accomplish. It could be anything that you want. For
instance: My goal is to not be late the whole frst
grading period, to fnish all projectson time, and to take interest in an
ater-school activity. By doing these
things beore school starts, it will
help you understand what youre in
school or and give you some motivation
to do what needs to be done.
Te summer is a time to relax and
enjoy lie, but at the end o every day you are the one responsible
or your education and success. You have to be the one to make
school a major priority. And by doing so you are putting your uture
and aspirations ahead o all others. So its okay to be a little laid
back rom the summer; just dont orget you have a job to do and
that is to make something out o yoursel. No one else can do that
but you! tv

HBCUs, or historically black colleges and universities,
were established in the atermath o the American
Civil War to educate blacks who were traditionally
denied access to the nations mainstream educational
institutions. While comprising only three percent o the nations
approximately 4000 institutions o higher learning, HBCUs
produce approximately 23 percent o all bachelors degrees earned
by Arican Americans annually (http://thinkbcu.org/hbcu_acts.
htm). But theres a little-known act about HBCUs that might
surprise you: while catering to Arican-Americans, HBCUs enrolla signicant number o non-black students. An Associated Press
report by Katrina Goggins ound that during the 2005-2006 school
year, nearly 10 percent o HBCU students were white (White
Students Being Recruited at Black Colleges, Associated Press).
HBCUs, always popular among Arican-Americans, have become
an increasingly popular educational choice or non-black students.
Florida is home to no ewer than 4 o the nations 105 HBCUs,
and Daytona Beachs Bethune-Cookman University stands out

Cookman College and hear rom two students about their rst
year on campus.
Ryan Griffinis a 22-year old junior at
Bethune-Cookman University.
I play ootball so I had coaches to
come out to recruit me and send me
letters by mail since I was a reshman
in high school. When I was a senior, I
went to my school guidance counselor
and she helped me pick out schools
that were a good t or me. Tats how I
heard about Bethune-Cookman.
I didnt have to pay or anything dealing with school because I
was on a scholarship. Plus my schedule and courses were already
set up. Still, my rst year in college was a hard adjustment. I was
not used to the environment. I was used to my mom waking me
up every morning and helping me out when I needed it. Now
that I am in college, I have to do everything the best way I can.
I had to nd a way to manage my honors classes and ootball
practice. What I did was write out a planner so that I could be
organized with my classes and ootball practice. Once I ound a
way to juggle both, it was easy.
Bethune-Cookman was an easy place to adjust to because it
is so small. When you go to college, you will meet many people
there rom everywhere and you just have to trust that the

people you are hanging around will have a good impact on
what you want to do. You have to have a good group o riendsthat have a positive mind. Going to college is not about going
to a bunch o parties and having hangovers. Its about going
to school and learning to do what you want to do or the rest
o your lie. My advice or kids who are in high school is to
start taking their SAT and ACT tests in the 10th grade so that
i they do not pass, they will have two more years to study and
take them over.
Camisa Townsend is a 19 year-
old sophomore at Bethune-Cookman
University majoring in pre-law.
In high school, I had a college
counselor who helped me research
colleges and fll out my applications.
I applied to at least fve schools and
I got accepted to all o them. I made
sure I flled out my FASFA so I could
receive fnancial aid.
My irst year in college was a breeze, it went by so ast.
I stayed on campus. People who stay on campus have an
advantage because we can eat or ree and we do not have
any reason to be late to class. In your irst and second
quarters you have to take our core classes, including math,
reading, and so on. Then you take the introductory courses
or your major.
My advice to high school students thinking about college
is to start preparing early. Talk to your guidance counselorand make sure you study hard and stay ocused on what you
are in school or. The main thing to do when you apply to
colleges is to do your research. There are so many colleges
out there and it can be hard to igure out which one to
attend. And ill out those inancial aid applications early!
Some schools only have a set amount o scholarship and
grant money they can give out each yeari you snooze

the day Obama was elected President, and the sadJuly aternoon when the world discovered that the

Whether you heard by text message, telephone, or

daughters have a hard time communicating and understanding
each other. Remember that the second you start resentingsomeone, you become embittered by that resentment. Instead
o being mean to your mother, explain to her that you are
having problems staying aoat in college, and its dicult to
see all o your riends with everything they could ever want.
Perhaps together you and she can come up with some ideas
or ways you can earn extra cash. But most importantly,
remember that your mother is probably doing her very best.
Remember her sacrices and all that she has done to help you
get to college the next time you start seeing green.
Dear Ears,
I recently ound out that my best riends little sister stole
my cell phone rom me. Although I was able to get it back
and she got in trouble, it is causing a strain on my best riend
and I because when I go to her house its awkward. I love my
best riend and dont want to stop being riends with her,
but how can I orgive her sister and ease the tension?Candice, Coral Gables
Dear Candice,
I would start by sitting down with your best riend and
her sister, and just clearing the air. Getting things of o
your chest sometimes can go a long way toward helping you
orgive someone. And i youre not quite ready to do that,
maybe try spending time with your best riend away rom
her house and her sister. Keep in mind that your best riend
is probably eeling terrible, and is probably as unhappy about
the situation as you are, so whatever you do, try not to take
it out on her.
Dear Heart,
I have a problem with guys. Tey look at me as an athletic,
unny person but not as a girly girl. I eel like they will
never go out with me because I dont irt like crazy or go to
basketball games to scope out guys. Im tired o being let
out o girl talks because Ive never had those moments with
guys that almost every girl has been through. Whats wrong
with me?
Feeling Ignored in Hialeah
Dear Feeling Ignored,
Stop eeling sorry or yoursel. Tere is absolutely nothing
wrong with you! In act, guys may be noticing you and you
dont even realize it. You may think guys want irty girls but
all the guys we talked to say they want a girl who makes them
eel comortable and who likes to have un. alk to them,
listen to them, laugh with them and, most importantly, relax
around them. Teyll see you in a whole new light. tv

o Te Princeton Review Books,
its my job to know a lot about
colleges. And it helps that
twenty years ago I was a high
school student applying to college just
like you. I had my sights set on a school
Id been dreaming about attending or
years. So I took my SAs, wrote my essay,
crossed by ngers, and waited. Weeks later
when my at envelope arrived in the mail I
was able to breathe a huge sigh a relieI
was in.
In retrospect, my whole college
application process was pretty painless.
Not so or many o you. Teres an exercise
I like to do with students who come to Te
Princeton Reviews Getting In seminars. I
ask them to write down on a sheet o paper
the names o three schools they would love
to see themselves at as college reshmen. I
tell them not to think about their chances
o being admitted or whether or not they
can aford it. Ater they write down the
names o their dream schools, I then try
to guess which colleges they put on theirlist. By the time Ive gone through all
the Ivies, all the state schools, and called
out other name-brand schools like NYU,
uts, Duke, Georgetown, Notre Dame,
UCLA, and Northwestern, ew students
have more than one school let on their
list. Clearly, we have a problem here. With
approximately 4000 colleges in the U.S.
to choose rom, most students start their
college search knowing about only 30 o
them. No wonder the college admissions
process can be so stressul: students are all
applying to the same 30 schools!
Tats why as the author o the Best

connect with their best t schools.
More and more oten, those schools
have not been your traditional liberal

plethora o college choices to consider,
including community colleges, online

more. Te sheer number o options
can be overwhelming. Tats why its so
important to do your research. Tis is a
good place to start. Most o the schools

The Community College Option: Miami
Dade College
Once thought o as a haven or students who
couldnt quite make the grade, now community
colleges are a sought ater option or everyone
rom those looking or a great bargain to those
looking or a great education. We sat downwith Rene Garcia, Director o Enrollment at
Miami Dade Community College, to fnd out
what all the uss is about.
TVM: What are the benefits of attending a
community college like MDC?
Miami Dade College provides quality
education that is aordable, accessible
and cutting-edge. MDC has an open-door
policy, meaning that we accept all students
with a high school diploma. Te exible
class schedules are very convenient orstudents who work. MDC students enjoy
a ull college experience, including an
extensive Student Lie program, with clubs,
student publications, student government,
and raternities, as well as intercollegiate
and intramural athletics. Te classes are
taught by outstanding aculty who are
ully credentialed and highly experienced.
Tey ocus on students rst. MDC oers
hundreds o Associate in Art (AA) degree
programs designed or students who
want to continue their studies at our-
year institutions. Tere are three bachelor
degree programs available nursing,
education and public saety. We also oer
Associate in Science (AS), Associate o
Applied Science (AAS) and certicate
programs that allow students to enter the
workorce upon completion.
TVM: How much does MDC cost? What advice
do you have for students who think they may
not be able to afford college?
Miami Dade College has one o the most
aordable tuitions in the nation. MDCs
2008-2009 ees-per- credit hour were
$62.59. Te annual cost or a ull-time
student is estimated at $2,300 plus books or
Florida residents. Tats a real bargain when
you consider that annual tuition at a private
our-year college can easily top $30,000!
MDC also has an extensive program o
need-based nancial aid and scholarships. In addition, MDCs prestigious Honors
College provides an intensely ocused,
multi-dimensional learning environment.
TVM: Is there a stigma associated with
attending a community college? How do you
respond to people who may think that MDC
doesnt offer as good of an education as a
4-year college?
Tere shouldnt be. Community colleges
prepare most o the nations registered nurses,
police ofcers, paramedics, reghters, and technicians. President Obama recently
highlighted community colleges as vital
resources or rebuilding the economy.
Community colleges, more and more, are
being recognized or the role they play.
Not only do community colleges provide
an excellent education, they provide a
gateway to other prestigious institutions.
MDC graduates have transerred to the
best institutions in the nation, including
Harvard, Stanord, and MI, among others,
requently with a generous scholarshippackage. MDC graduates enjoy guaranteed
admission to any state university in Florida,
including UF and FSU. In addition, MDC
also has individual transer agreements
with other outstanding private and out-o-
state institutions such as Georgia ech.
TVM: How do students know if community
college is right for them?
Choosing the right school is a personal
choice. However, community colleges
provide access, more attention, quality
aordability and a pathway to great careers
and other institutions. Student lie and
civic engagement activities rival those at
any our-year institution.
TVM: How many of your students go on to
obtain a 4-year degree?
Eighty percent o our AA graduates
transer to a Florida college or university.
Another 3% transer out-o-state within
a year o graduating rom MDC. Students
move on to universities such as Stanord,
Georgetown, New York University, Brown
University, Columbia, and Yale, among
many other respected institutions.
TVM: What kind of programs does MDC offer?
MDC oers more than 200 programs
in various disciplines, including business,
engineering, architecture, and lm
production, among others. We oer three
bachelor programs in education, public
saety and nursing, with more scheduledto be launched soon.
TVM: What advice do you have for high
school seniors thinking of attending MDC?
Over the course o nearly 50 years,
MDC has cultivated a strong bond with
the surrounding community, an advantage
oten unique to community colleges.
o make the most o your community
college experience, get involved and
take advantage o the many programs,
scholarships, grants, student activities, and cultural events that will help you grow
both academically and personally.

bachelors in accounting which combines
online components with ace-to-ace
instruction. With that kind o proession,
there are certain advanced courses in
accounting that we have determined are
not quite right to be delivered online
because the undergraduate students might
lack a little bit o the study maturity and just some o the intellectual growth that
it takes to be successul. So to take that
example, weve decided that i youre
going to be an accounting major youre
going to have to do most o the advanced
accounting courses live either here or at
one o our satellite campuses throughout
the state. Tere are educational degrees
that we oer online. We certainly have a
variety o options or students.
TVM: What support networks do you have in
place for students entering an online program
at Nova?
Each college has a ull-time sta and
student advisor. I you are a new student
enrolling online, the advisor will speak to
you and help you understand what your next
our years are going to be like, what courses
you will have to pursue, and the best order
in which to take them. Te advisors try to
help the students understand the potential
pitalls o the online environment and thethings to do to avoid them. Nova has very
large computer labs on campus and a ull-
time lab monitor that is able to navigate
through the system. Tat way nding
what button to push is not a barrier or
students, and they can really study and
do the work that they need to do. We also
have a retention center at each division
that is able to reach out to students who
are struggling. Each term we pull studentgrade reports and see which students are
borderline. We have specialists who reach
out to students and to try to nd out what
is going on and whether its tutoring or
more contact with aculty that they need.
Because in the end its really an exchange
between the aculty and the student where
most o the learning takes place.
TVM: Where can our readers find out more
information about Novas online programs?
I think the best thing or a student to dois go to www.nova.edu.
The Design School Option: Ai Miami
International University of Art & Design
Students around Florida who have always
marched to the beat o their own drum fnd a
home at the Ai Miami International University
o Art & Design. Budding ashonistas,
aspiring artists, marketing mavens and
interior designers all fnd their niche here.
Here Director o Admissions Kevin Ryan g ives
us an inside look on what makes an Ai Miami
degree so abulous.
TVM: What are some of the benef its of
enrolling at Ai Miami?
Te dierences between attending the
Ai Miami International University o Art &
Design and a traditional university is that
we ocus on what the student needs to be
successul in their uture. Seventy percent
o our students courses are in their major
and 30% are in the humanities, so it is kind
o a fip o what you see in the traditional
environment.
TVM: Does this mean it
takes less time to complete
the programs?
Yes and no. What
will happen is that the
student will have a lot
more courses and creditsin their major. Te
reason they can complete
their degree in 3 years i they choose to
is because we oer classes year-round.
I the student does choose to ollow
the program the way weve laid it out,
they can complete it in 3 years and their
skill set will be resh when they enter
the workorce.
TVM: What does it take to be successful here?
We nd that the things that make a
student successul is that they are taking
what they want or doing what they want
to do. When people are doing what they
want to do, they become way more ocused
and we nd that they thrive in that kind
o environment.
Te way we structure our curricula,
students are in classes or up to our
hours. Tere might be a 20-minute break
in between. Tat continuity gives them
the ability to work on something that they
can really take to the next level. It is very
hard to turn creativity on and o in 1 hour.
At Ai Miami, students are able to develop
their crat as much as they want to.
TVM: How much does it cost?
Te tuition is about $575 dollars per
credit hour. At a private institution, the cost

o the education is in the 80 - 90 thousanddollar range or a bachelors. Our price is in
the lower range or private colleges.
TVM: What kind of programs does Ai
Miami offer?
We have many programs that are popular.
Tis university started out as ashion school
so we have a lot o ashion design students.
We also have ne arts, so students can get
into a lot o diferent programs at our
campus. Over 90% o students are placed
in their career eld upon graduation. We
have strong internships and we have a
great portolio program where employees
come and review students work and rom
that make many jobs ofer to students.
TVM: What is the application process like
at Ai Miami?
Our application process is somewhat
diferent rom the traditional process. You
would ll out an application, but you would
also have to do an interview with one o
our assistant directors who takes students
through the diferent curricular optionsso that we can nd out what that student
is interested in and whether were a good
t. Te assistant directors meet with the
students andtheir amily because we really
like the input o the amilies to see what
kind o support the students have. We look
at the student not just based on grades but
based on everything. Hopeully they may
have a portolio.
TVM: Where can our readers f ind out more
information about Ai Miamis programs?Te rst thing is to ll out an inquiry
orm on our website (www.artinstitutes.
edu/miami/) or contact the school and we
will get you in touch with the right people
to get your question answered. We do
encourage people to come visit the campus
to see i it is the right t or them. tv

keeping it real
School isnt or me. How many times have you
heard that line spoken by someone who doesnt
have a clue o what they want out o lie? Or
maybe youre guilty o eeling this way yoursel?
Tis generation is all about getting the ast money. Kids these
days want to shine hard and do big things but they dont want
to put in the time and eort to earn a living legitimately and
honestly. Tats how they get into trouble.
Now I know school isnt easy. And it certainly isnt always un.
But theres one thing I know or sure: Its necessary. Most o us
dont inherit our moneywe have to work or it. And unless
youre Blair Waldor and youve got a big, at trust und waiting
or you ater you turn 18, then youre going to have to work hard
to get to the top.
Te rst stepping stone on your ladder to success is, without a
doubt, getting an education. Tere is no way around it. Fast ood
restaurants even require high school diplomas. You might think,
Why do I need a high school diploma to fip burgers? But guess
what?!Its just that serious now! Employers want people who
have some type o skill. You need to know how to count money
in order to be a cashier. You need to know how to read in orderto take and deliver orders. Gaining that knowledge and getting
certied to do whatever you like is one o lies highest pleasures
and greatest accomplishments.
Now just because you have a degree doesnt guarantee you a
ree ticket to success, but it does open more doors to make things
happen. Having a degree also doesnt guarantee that you wont
experience other types o obstacles in lie whether it is racism,
sexism, or just someone hating on you. Tere are a lot o jobs
that dont require a school education like becoming a business
owner, producer, activist, rapper, entertainer, or engineer. So Im
not saying that i you dont have an education you wont become
successul. But I am saying that having an education makes a
dierence in many cases. You could be on a job or a long time,
yet someone who just started working a ew months ago can get
promoted instead o you just because they have a piece o paper
stating that they are certied. It may not be r ight or morally correct
but that is just reality. So i you have dreams that go arther than
the moon, you must reach or them with all your might. Even iwhat youre trying to become has no need or an education, just
be sure to have a backup plan. Having an education might just
save you. tv
