Airport Motorcycle Trailer Parking Program

March 8 through March 17 2019

Introduction During Bike Week 2019 beginning Friday March 8 and ending Sunday March 17 2019 Daytona Beach International Airport will set aside 188 long term parking spaces for parking of individual motorcycle trailers and tow vehicles Trailers or tow vehicles parked must not extend beyond the size of individual parking spaces which are approximately 9 feet wide by 20 feet long No parking is available at the Airport for large semi tractor-trailer rigs under this program A diagram showing the location of the motorcycle trailer and tow vehicle parking area is shown on Attachment 1 In the event demand for motorcycle trailer and tow vehicle parking exceeds the area shown an expanded adjacent parking area may be activated as needed and if available

Airport Hours of Operation Airport parking lots are open 24 hours per day 7 days per week The parking lot is lighted and regularly patrolled by the Volusia County Sheriffs Office and Airport personnel The Airport is not responsible for any damage vandalism or other destruction of vehicles parked in the Airport parking lot

Access to the Airport Attachment 2 provides a map showing access to the Airport over area highways including Interstates 4 and 95 Detailed information about the Airport including scheduled commercial airline service and other customer information is available on the Airports website at wwwflyDABcom

Motorcycle Trailer and Tow Vehicle Parking Rates Rates for motorcycle trailer and tow vehicle parking are for a minimum flat rate period beginning March 8 2019 and ending March 17 2019 as follows

Trailer Parking Only (one (1) parking space) $12500

Trailer Parking Plus Tow Vehicle (two (2) parking spaces) $15000

(Additional spaces three or more will be charged at $75 per week)

Early exit from the motorcycle trailer and vehicle parking lot prior to the conclusion of Bike Week shall not entitle parking patrons to a refund hereunder

Operation Prior to arrival at the Airport patrons should remove motorcycles from the motorcycle trailer and drop them off at the hotel or other accommodation which will be used during Bike Week Airport vehicle gate arms and other automatic systems in use at the Airport may not properly operate with motorcycles due to lower weight and reduced mass compared to other vehicles In the case of gate arms this can create a safety hazard where a gate arm may not operate or may come down too soon possibly injuring the motorcyclist or passenger or damaging the bike For this reason we request that motorcycles be dropped off prior to arriving at the Airport
