OverviewThe radar library and phased-array wizard module (RDR) work seamlessly with Visual System Simulator™ (VSS) system-level design
software to provide users with radar signal generation, radar-specific target and propagation modeling, and radar signal processing
capabilities. The radar library is tailored to give easy access to all the needed capabilities for simulations such as the RF inspector (RFI™)
for discovering intermodulation issues, third-party co-simulation, antenna arrays, and multipath channels. The types of radars supported
include military, medical, weather, and automotive applications.
The phased-array generator wizard within VSS enables designers to quickly configure planar phased-array or MIMO-array systems,
interactively modify the designs to achieve the desired behavior, and then generate system diagrams and/or circuit schematics and
electromagnetic (EM) structures for further, more rigorous analysis. The tool supports interactive specification of the layout, feed network
settings, element antenna and RF link settings, gain tapers, and element failures.
