2014Winner:Dr.BrianDetweiler-Bedell,Lewis&ClarkCollegeinPortland,Oregon.BrianreceivedhisPh.D.insocialpsychologyfromYaleUniversity.Hisresearchexaminestheinfluenceofemotiononsocialjudgmentanddecision-making.Togetherwithhiswife,Brianco-directstheBehavioralHealthandSocialPsychologylaboratory,whichprovidesanimmersiveresearchexperiencetooveradozenundergraduatestudentcollaboratorseachyear.In2008theDetweiler-BedellswereawardedagrantfromtheNationalScienceFoundationfortheirprojectentitled,“UsingLadderedTeamstoPromoteaResearchSupportiveCurriculum.”

2016Winner:Dr.TeresaDzieweczynski,UniversityofNewEnglandinBiddeford,Maine.TeresareceivedherPh.D.inecologyandevolutionarybiologywithareacertificatesinanimalbehaviorandexperimentalpsychologyfromIndianaUniversity.Herresearchexamineshowpharmaceuticals,endocrinedisruptingchemicals,andotherpollutantsthatmightentertheenvironmentthroughman-mademeansnegativelyaffectthebehaviorofthefishlivinginthesepollutedwaters.ShehaspresentedandpublishednumerousarticleswithundergraduatesandcurrentlyservesastheCoordinatorofUndergraduateResearchattheUniversityofNewEngland.

2018Winner:Dr.AnthonyHermann,BradleyUniversityinPeoria,Illinois.TonyreceivedhisPh.D.insocialpsychologyfromTheOhioStateUniversity.HedirectstheSelfandSocialBehaviorLabatBradley,wheretheyexaminehowself-evaluativeprocessesimpactsocialbehaviorandhowbehaviorimpactsself-evaluation.Hehaspresentedandpublishednumerousarticleswithundergraduatesandhasproducedon-linematerialsforstudentsconductingresearch.HecurrentlyservesasthedirectorofthePsychologyDepartmenthonorsprogramatBradleyandistheleadeditorfortheforthcomingHandbookofTraitNarcissism:KeyAdvances,ResearchMethods,andControversiesfromSpringer.
