Providing opportunities for young Canadians to learn and use French
The CPF PEI Concours d’art oratoire was held Saturday April 23, 2016 at UPEI. Many thanks to our judges Julie Gag‐non, Joseé Alain and Nicole Blanchard. Emcee was CPF PEI President Bri any Jakubiec and mer was Ricardo Angle our CPF Westwood Chapter President. Prizes include medals, ribbons, cash as well as thousands in scholarships and prizes from: Université Sainte‐Anne, University of Prince Edward Island, Université de Moncton and Collège Acadie, Encounters with Canada. The CPF PEI Annual Mee ng will be held on Wednesday May 4th at 6 pm at the Haviland Club in Charlo e‐town. Beside elec ons for Branch Board members we will have a presenta on by one of French Student Excellence Award winners, our 2016 Educator of the Year , an‐nounce our J.Elmer Hynes volunteer of the year and hear about changes in the Department of Educa on, Early Childhood and Culture from French programs Director René Hur‐tubise.
