This course is designed for people who wish to enter, or are in, the hospitalityindustry and need their Responsible Service of Alcohol for employment.
It is now mandatory that all employees hold a Responsible Service of AlcoholCertificate which must be issued under the QLD Liquor, Gaming & Regulationsapproved course.
This course will give the participants the knowledge and understanding of relevantQueensland Liquor Laws. Training in identifying problems such as declining servicewhen appropriate, how to minimize confrontation and arguments, understanding yourresponsibilities and fines. Enabling you to deal with patrons and provide accurateadvice and information to customers regarding alcoholic beverages.

It is now mandatory that all employees hold a Responsible Gambling ServicesCertificate which must be issued under the QLD Liquor, Gaming & Regulationsapproved course.
This course will provide you with the necessary skills to work in the gaming industrytoday. Students will learn the gaming regulations and the techniques for identifyingand assisting problem gamblers. Understanding your responsibilities when dealingwith patrons, management and security personnel. Gambling is to be monitored nowand support provided to patrons.

Exclusion provisions were implemented on 1 May 2005 under the GamblingLegislation Amendment Act 2004. As a consequence this means that the gamblingvenues must be aware of the requirements and the impact on the gambling industry.
Venues are required to appoint a CLO and that person must be suitably trained inexclusion provisions.The Customer Liaison Officer (CLO) course covers both legislative and code ofpractice requirements. Information is presented in a logical process designed toenable gaming venues to provide necessary support to those who are at risk fromexcessive gambling. It also covers self exclusions and venue initiated exclusions
