Book your next meeting or corporate event at the Alfred H. Savage Centre!
Conveniently located in Whitemud Park next to the beauty of Edmonton’s river valley, the Alfred H.
Savage Centre serves as a hub for community rentals and events. No matter the occasion, the
wide, naturally lit space of the Aspen Room is suitable for anything from meetings, to corporate
retreats, to small weddings and more. The Aspen Room seats 175 non-fixed seating, and 109 for
dining and beverages.
The building is named after Alfred Savage, Commissioner of Public Affairs for the City of Edmonton
between 1974 and 1981. He was a driving force behind City facilities such as the Muttart
Conservatory and the John Janzen Nature Centre.
Throughout the year, the Alfred H. Savage Centre is a hub for outdoor education and
environmental programs such as orienteering or snowshoeing. This space is also often used for
community gatherings.
The Centre is built to LEED Silver standards (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).
Achieving this standard reflects the City of Edmonton’s The Way We Green strategy.
In addition to being LEED certified, this building also uses geothermal heating, water use reduction
methods, reflective roofing, and exterior light fixtures that point downward for less pollution.
The Centre is also wheelchair accessible, and has a bookable private room.
