1.2.3 Observations while using Metalogix
Metalogix Content Matrix needs to be installed on top of .NET Framework 4.0, so as to establish the connection to any version of the SharePoint URL in any server. If not connection to SP 2013 fails.
1.2.4 Observations during Confluence migration
Metalogix Organizer should be installed on target environment to connect the SharePoint site in writable mode.
User Migration is not happening even though user mapping is done in edit usermapping dialog. (Working with Metalogix team to resolve this issue)
After migrating the confluence pages/child pages to SharePoint pages library, child pages links are pointing to source (Confluence). (Identified option [Link Correction] to resolve this issue. Need to validate)
In user mapping dialog, the target users are populating/showing only if users are added to the Root site. But this does not take from AD even though these users are already available in AD. (Working with Metalogix team to resolve this issue)
Mail is not supported in Metalogix. Activity is not supported. Space Details, Orphaned Pages, Undefined Pages and Templates are not supported. Fetching users from Confluence pop up is loading automatically during migration and throwing
Operation Timed out Exception. (Working with Metalogix team to resolve this issue)
1.2.5 Analysis on the above Observations (Using Metalogix)
Users need to be migrated first before we proceed with the content migration, so that the user permissions with groups are migrated
