Introduction This section describes the purpose and audience of this guide. Any terminology or acronyms used in this document will be referenced in
the Glossary of the Appendix section.
Purpose The intent of this SSRS reports helps ConfigMgr to automate the default and custom reports.
Prerequisite Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 or higher version.
Report Builder 3.0 or higher version.
SMTP access (Required only for Email notification alert).
Create New Custom Folder for Custom Reports

Expand Monitor Node Select Reporting
Right Side Select http://CM01/Reports
(Default).

Open Report Manager URL Select
ConfigMgr_000 Open.

In the page Click New Folder.

Provide the Name as : _Custom Reports
Description: This folder is created for publish
custom reports.
Then Click OK.

Open Report Builder from SQL Server Reporting
Services page.
Create New Report using Report Builder

Services page.

Select New Report Click Table or Matrix
Wizard.

Select Create a dataset Click Next.

Click Test Connection and Ensure the
Connection is created successfully then click OK
and then Next.

Provide the SSRS User Name and Password
and click OK.

Place the SQL Query and click Execute then Click
Next.

Click Next.

Click Finish.

Drag and drop the required filed to right hand side.

Save the File.
Modify Existing Report using Report Builder

Open Report Builder from SQL Server Reporting
Services page.

Click Open.

Select the Existing SSRS RDL file then Click OK.

Under Data Sources Select the Database
Connection Right Click Data Source
Properties Select.

Click Test Connection and Ensure the
connection is created successfully then click OK.

Click Run.

Check the Result.

File and Save the file.
Upload or Publish RDL file into SSRS Portal

In the SSRS URL Page Click Upload File.

Browse and select the File which we saved
earlier then click OK.

Ensure the place is placed on URL Page and
Open the Report.

Configure Windows File Share Reports

Open SSRS report URL and select the report
which you want to configuration subscription
then right click select Subscribe.

Click Delivered by: Windows File Share.
Path: \\Server Report Share path folder name
Render format: Excel
Overwrite Options: Increment file names as
newer versions are added.
Click Select Schedule.

Choose whether to run the report on an hourly,
daily, weekly, monthly, or one time basis then
finally click Ok.

Verify everything and click Ok.

Click My Subscriptions Option on left side.

Ensure subscription alert is configured
successfully.
