Ajanta Raaj started way back in1964 asa milk distributor company in the city ofAgra, which had a population of about 5.0 lacpeople at that time. At that time there was nosystem that existed to market milk inorganized way. Ajanta Raaj developed asystem to deliver good quality pure milk doorto door to the customers. It also cultivatedthe nearby farmers to keep more cattle andgave them funds to buy cattle and assuredthem to be their permanent buyer of milk inthe future.

In 1999 it was decided to further extend theplant and in 2000 a new plant was installedwith a capacity of 4.0 lac litres per day tomake milk powder and other products withthe initial investment of Rs 2000.00 lacsapprox...

The company in 1975 installed its first automaticfactory to handle 50000 liters of milk per day. Otherpromoters also joined the business at this point oftime .The business grew and in 1990 the companyextended this capacity to handling 100000 liters ofmilk per day and installed spray dried milk powderplant with a huge capital investment.

THE PROCESS
The milk is then pasteurized and during pasteurization cream is separated from milk and stored into other storage tanks.
03The milk is collected from farmers /milk venders at our factory milk collection dock, where milk is tested for quality and quantity in our most scientifically equipped lab.
01The skimmed milk is then pumped to evaporation plant and then goes to spray dried powder plant where milk comes out as milk powder. Powder is then packed to various sizes as desired.

Cream is then pumped into butter churns that makes butter and then butter goes to ghee making plant where ghee is made, clarified and then packed.
04The milk is then chilled and stored in storage tanks which are insulated and maintains temperature at which it is chilled. In dairy industry all machineries and equipment's are made of stainless steel to keep things rust free.
02The whole process of making ghee or powder is fully automatic and plant is a state of the art unit and milk is seen only at the receiving dock level and nowhere after that. It is untouched by hand and is most hygienically produced.

This is a project added during this year which will beexport oriented. The building needed to accommodatethe new machineries and staff has already been built.The machines to be purchased under this project isunder finalization with the manufacturer. Started Ajanta Raaj, is the MD of the company. Heundertook dairy diploma from Karnal, after passing outhis M Sc in 1963. He is responsible for making Agra asdairy belt, which is today largest milk producing area ofUP. He had been giving unsecured loans to farmers forbuying cattle and assuring to buy their milk producesince 1964 became the major reason for milk growthbeyond expectation.
