ABOUT COMTRAC’S CORPORATE TEA TALKThe Companies Commission of Malaysia Training Academy(COMTRAC) was established on 1 April 2007 to spearheadthe Companies Commission of Malaysia's (SSM) externalstakeholders training initiatives. Its mission is to train andeducate corporate role-players comprising directors,company secretaries, the management and employees ofcompanies, auditors, entrepreneurs, innovators andmembers of the professional bodies.
COMTRAC’s new Business Plan entails the periodicalorganization of Corporate Tea Talks to inculcateknowledge and awareness, promote deliberationsamongst the stakeholders and explore new boundaries inrelated corporate topics. The Corporate Tea Talk isorganized free-of-charge and is open for interestedmembers of the public to attend. This programme is alsopart of SSM’s corporate responsibility .
ABOUT THE TOPICThe Panel of speakers will explain the key provisions of therelevant legislation administered by SSM relating tocompanies, businesses well as the newly promulgatedlegislation known as the Limited Liability Partnership 2011.With understanding on the relevant provisions of theCompanies Act 1965, Registration of Businesses 1956 andLimited Liability Partnership Act 2011, participants willlearn the options available in deciding the best vehicle todo business and will be able to make appropriate decisionon how to carry on their businesses effectively andresponsibly.
LEARNING OUTCOME• Participants will understand the basic legal requirement of
Companies Act 1965, Registration of Business Act 1956 &Limited Liability Partnership 2011
• Understand Incorporation of companies, registration ofbusinesses & Limited Liability Partnership untiltermination process.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:
1. Hajah Nor Azimah Abdul AzizAzimah Abdul Aziz is the Director of CorporateDevelopment and Policy Division since 1 September2010. She was responsible for regulatory research,statistics, corporate planning for SSM. Formerly shewas appointed as the Director of COMTRAC in April2007.
2. Ezatul Zuria Ahmad AzahariEzatul Zuria Ahmad Azhari is an Executive at the LawReform, Policy and International Affairs Section underthe Corporate Development and Policy Division, SSM.She is mainly involved in reviewing the lawadministered by SSM and conducting legal research,particularly in businesses and firms.
3. Norhaiza JemonNorhaiza Jemon is the Heads of Law Reform, Policyand International Affairs Section of CorporateDevelopment & Policy Division. Her portfolio includesmanaging the law reform initiatives undertaken bySSM including the review of the Companies Act 1965,the Registration of Businesses Act 1956 and theintroduction of the Limited Liability Partnerships Bill.
