Recycling and Waste ContainerPlacement and Collection Rules
2020 Collier TownshipCurbside Recycling and Waste Collection Schedule
Follow these simple steps to ensure your recycling and waste is collected quickly and easily:
• All recycling and waste must be placed at the curb no later than 6 a.m. on your scheduled collection day. Late set out will be noted and may not be picked up.
• Waste should be in properly secured containers (60 pounds or less) or plastic bags (35 pounds or less).
• Hedge cuttings, limbs and branches should be securely tied and should not exceed 48 inches in length; branches should not exceed 3 inches in diameter. Christmas trees will be picked up curbside in December, January and February.
• Bulk items will be accepted at curbside (LIMIT 1 ITEM PER MONTH). Special collection is available for over 1 item per month for a fee. Please call customer service at 800.464.2120.
• Carpet should be rolled and tied in lengths not to exceed 48 inches.
• Empty paint cans and/or dried paint is acceptable. Paint can be dried by air drying or soaking up with newspaper or kitty litter. Lids should be left off.
• Items such as refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, water coolers, or any other appliance containing refrigerant will only be picked up if the item has a sticker certifying the refrigerant has been removed. If there is no sticker certifying removal, we will not pick up the item due to laws prohibiting disposal without certification the refrigerant has been removed. It is suggested that you have the company delivering the new appliance dispose of the old appliance to save on the removal cost of the refrigerant.
• Remove recycling and waste containers from the curb within 24 hours of collection.
• Leaves are picked up by the municipality.
Collection Schedule• Recycling is collected every other week; the same day as waste
collection (see calendar – the weeks that are unshaded are recycling weeks).
• Waste is collected weekly. See street listing for service days.• For additional information, contact Republic Services at
800.464.2120.
Holidays• As in previous years, if one of these holidays (New Year’s
Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving or Christmas) falls on Monday – Friday, your collection day will be delayed to the following day. Please check the calendar.

Youngwood 2019 Recycling and Waste Calendar
All holidays are highlighted in ORANGE. All collection days are highlighted
(Monday through Friday). Please note that some collection days will be delayed one
day because of the holidays.
Any questions regarding collection days, container deliveries, repairs and
replacements or bulk pickups can be communicated by calling our Customer
Service Department at 800-247-3644 or visiting RepublicServices.com.
Youngwood Collection Schedule All waste will be collected on Monday. All recyclables will be collected every other week on the same day as waste collection.
Residents will receive a 96-gallon waste container in addition to the 65-gallon recycling container already in use, and can put out one bulk item first week of the month. One additional bag outside the waste cart is included in regular service. Additional bags outside the waste cart will require a tag. Tags can be purchased at the Borough office for $2.00 per tag. The cost for the regular services is $57.00 per quarter. Residents can also receive a second cart for an additional $3.50 per month for cart and collection services. Senior Citizen Rate - Senior citizens generally produce much less material and many times are on a limited income. The special Senior Citizen Rate is $45.60 per quarter.
