This position requires a bachelor’s degree of Science in Engi-neering and/or 5-10 years of experience in the manufac-turing industry. It also requires advanced problem-solv-ing skills (Design of Experiments, Root Cause Analysis, 8D, 5 Why) and excellent customer relation, communica-tion, and team skills
Essential Job Functions include:
· Lead project design and timeline; coordinate project review meetings with cross-functional plant teams related to tool design and manufacturing feasibility; lead internal FMEA development and review; verify that all actions (tooling, sample runs, testing, gauges, etc.) are kept on schedule and meet customer specifi-cations and demands.
· Manage engineering changes for launched programs in addition to monitoring and improving efficiency, cost reductions, customer interaction, etc.
· Work with cost-estimating and quoting department to assist in pricing larger programs
· Ability to work directly with customers regarding part and tool design for new programs.
· Direct problem-solving activities based on custom-er rejections/complaints and respond to customer concerns.
· Direct activities which ensure product and raw mate-rial conformance.
· Provide engineering support on customer concerns and questions; assist in developing timely corrective actions to maintain customer quality standards and production requirements.
· Travel as required to customer facilities.
· Develop knowledge of all plant processes to maxi-mize effectiveness of resources and implement best practices throughout the organization.
