  • A basic, yet exclusive sweater is perfect for all those semi dressed up occasions. This has a

sophisticated raglan decrease and three quarter arms and goes well with pants and skirts.

Cast on 144 s on US 4 circular needles and work ribbing, K1b, P 1 for about 1.5.

Place markers after 36 s and 108 s to mark the sides. (= 72 s each for the front and back) Change to

US 6 needles and continue in stockinette until your piece measures 12

On the next round, bind off 3 s on each side of each marker. (= 132 s) Put aside while making the

    arms.

    Arms

Cast on 36 s on DPN US 4 and work ribbing, K1b, P 1 for about 1.5. Change to US 6 needles and

continue in stockinette. Increase 1 s on each side of the first and last s on the round every 1 until

you have increased 12 times alltogether. When the arm measures 11, bind off 6 stitches under the

    arm. (= 54 s)

    Make another arm.

    Raglan decrease

Line up all the parts on to the US 6 circular needle. (= 240 s)

Knit one round. Place markers between all the parts. (4 markers in total) Round starts in the middle

    back.

Decrease #1 - decreasing only on the front and back pieces.

Round 1: Work until 3 s is left before the 1st marker. SSK. Knit 1 s past the 2nd marker. K2tog. Knit

    until 3 s is left before the 3rd marker. SSK. Knit 1 s past the 4th marker. K2tog. (= 4 s decreased)

    Round 2: Knit.

Repeat the Decrease #1rounds 4 times alltogether.

Decrease #2 - decreasing on all pieces.

    Round 1: *Work until 3 s is left before marker. SSK. K2 s. K2tog.* Repeat for all 4 markers. (= 8 s

    decreased)

    Round 2: Knit.

Repeat the Decrease #2 rounds 16 times alltogether.

Then repeat the Decrease #1rounds 3 times more. You now have 87 s. Work ribbing as before for

    1 and bind off.
