English Class Activity
(Class Narrative Report)
It was the first quarter of the semester, at English class. The class was divided
into 6 groups consisting with five (5) members each. Each group was given the tas of
critici!ing a stor". #ome of the tass given were to provide the historical approach,
biographical approach, readers response, $ar%ism and formalism to stories such as &To
'elene, &To the harbormaster and others.
Each group decided on a stor" to critici!e and then read the stor". $embers of
the group shared their own interpretation and insights of the stor" which were all taen
into consideration while forming their report. ll opinions were written in a piece of paper
and addressed in the brainstorming session. *pinions that were agreed upon were
moved into drafting and summari!ing stage and then finall" written in the paper to be
passed. power point presentation was also prepared containing the summari!ed
version of the final paper. Each part slide were assigned to a member to report. +hen
the time came, the group reported their wor in front of the class.
The activit" was a great wa" to e%ercise our sills in anal"!ing, self udgement
and teamwor. +e were given the chance to anal"!e the stories on our own and give
our individual comprehension. -eing able to wor in groups while under pressure is a
good wa" to enhance our teamwor and cooperation with one another. It is also a wa"
to bond with our classmates.
