NEWSLETTER
Welcome and thank you for your
interest in Chartered Institute of
Professional Financial Managers
(CIPFM). Originally founded in
England in 1992 as a professional
institute then in 2009 as a branch
in Southern Africa, CIPFM is an
institute that focuses on profes-
sional development both locally
and internationally.
With us one is bound to enjoy the
convenience of eLearning mean-
ing you can study from anywhere
and anytime. As we look to the
future one thing is certain –
knowledge will be a key resource
and will be highly on demand
within Zimbabwe and the world
at large. Our task as CIPFM is to
help generate ideas that will bene-
fit our economy and society as
well as to educate and train peo-
ple to work in fields where they
will be valued both for their spe-
cialized knowledge, and for their
ability to communicate and solve
problems. To complete these
tasks CIPFM offers a variety of
learning, teaching methods and
resources which provide the indi-
vidual student with what he or she
needs to complete a program of
study on a non-residential basis.
What is right for one person may
well be inappropriate for another.
The programs are therefore tailor-
made to take into account what
each student already knows, and
his or her present and future
needs. We also take seriously our
responsibility to economic growth
and local employment.
Through doing so individuals’
lives have been changed, are be-
ing changed and will forever be
changed for the better at CIPFM.
A great example of how CIPFM
has made a difference in individu-
als is the ever increasing percent-
age of students who either get
employed or promoted after com-
pleting their studies with us.
Current students, staff and alumni
have undoubtedly built the repu-
tation of CIPFM and I am confi-
dent that CIPFM people of today
and tomorrow will add to this rep-
utation in the future.
We look forward to welcoming
you at CIPM

The short course in security fo-
rensics and loss control manage-
ment that Chartered Institute of
Professional Financial Managers
(CIPFM) recently introduced has
commenced with ZIMCAN Secu-
rity officers.
Security forensics and loss con-
trol management is a course that
aims at creating loss control of-
ficers who knows how to tackle
the 21st Century type of criminal
and crimes.
It also aims at creating security
personnel who know how to con-
duct their internal investigations,
how to prevent loss of property,
resources, time, lives etc.
ZIMCAN Chief Security Officer,
Mr. Mundanga said this course is
very beneficial to their organisa-
tion as some officers did not
know how to execute security
science and loss control manage-
ment.
“From now going forward I trust
they know what to do and how to
do it.
“They are benefiting a lot from
each and every aspect of this
course, I see this taking us far as
an organisation and our clients in
minimizing loss and hopefully
increasing the profits”, comment-
ed Chief Mundanga.
This is one of many courses that
CIPFM offers and after the ZIM-
CAN officers complete their cer-
tificate, CIPFM will continue of-
fering this course to all security
companies in Zimbabwe so as to
improve the security sector in the
country.
The course is targeting security
officers, security personnel,
school leavers and loss control
officers.
Security Forensics and loss con-
trol management can be complet-
ed within a very short period of
time and it is very affordable
with a flexible payment plan.
