Choral Music with Handbells (CD #2)
Greetings from all of us atAgape/Hope PublishingCompany!
In this collection of newofferings you will find twenty new pieces for your bell choir. All of theseselections come with ourhighest recommendation, but there is one piece inparticular to which I would
like to draw your attention: “Lo,How a Rose E’er Blooming.” Joel Raney, a namealready well known to handbell directors from hispreludes for organ, piano and handbells, enters theAgape handbell catalog with this, his first setting forjust handbells. As one might expect from Joel, hehas provided options to add synth and percussion. This setting was premiered last December at TheAgape Ringer’s Christmas concert. The addition ofthe synthesizer string pad seems to have been aninspired choice as the response to this piece wasphenomenal. We are excited about the way that Joeland many of our other composers are finding newways to combine handbells with other instrumentsand musical sounds and in so doing to bring the glorious sounds of handbells (plus handchimes, piano, organ, brass, voices, synth, etc.) to an ever-broadening audience.
CD #2 is a special bonus CD of best-selling choralmusic with handbells. This includes our new choralofferings for 2007 with optional parts for bells as well as a selection of favorite ring & sing settingsfrom our catalog.
It is our goal to provide you with useful handbellmusic for your worship services and concerts. If youhave any comments or suggestions of how we couldbetter serve you, we would love to hear from you.
