• A actual test method whereby a finishing product or a specially constructed test rig designed for a simulated upholstered furniture is subjected to ignition sources. The ignition sources can be selected from cigarette, butane gas, or crib. Their thermal output ranges from a smouldering cigarette to a flame approximately the equivalent of burning four double sheets of full-sized news paper. Then to assess the ignitability of upholstered furniture in smouldering and/or flaming ignition.
