o that magical moment. So by planning this advancemeeting, its just the couple and their photographer andvideographer, with no risks o missing out on pricelessrst-look photos.
Katrina McCullum, event planner at Made o HonorWeddings, says, When couples choose to see each otherbeore the ceremony, it gives them the chance to share avery intimate, emotional time with one another. Bride
and groom may shed tears o joy, and most importantly, they get to speak reely to each other rom the heart asopposed to only getting the chance to whisper a quicksentiment as the ociant begins perorming the cer-emony. They get to have a real conversation, express theireelings and embrace this moment as their own.
They might arrange to be served Champagne in theirmonogrammed futes, enjoying a private toast all on theirown, giving them a precious private moment that is alsocaptured by a photographer.
Pre-wedding nerves can disappear at this rst meeting, allowing the couple to appreciate and enjoy their ceremo-ny more, and both bride and groom look their best earlierin the day. The brides hair and makeup are fawless; herfowers are resh; and the groom is not soaked in sweat.Seeing each other beore the ceremony lets them make amore perect rst impression.
And seeing as the couple look so perect in this mo-ment, now is when they can pose or the long series owedding portraits, smiling or those hundreds o pho-tos that give them a great selection o album and rameimages. The process isnt rushed, and multiple locationsare more easily used without the parade o bridal partymembers ollowing and getting situated. The bride andgroom get a more relaxed time or photos, which shows
in their expressions. And getting all o these photos takenbeore the ceremony makes the post-ceremony photos goaster, so the couple can enjoy more o their cocktail hourmingling with their guests.
One o the biggest reasons a growing number o bridesand grooms wish to see each other beore the ceremony isthat they get to express the deeper meaning its all abouttheir love or each other o the wedding day. Havingalone time to walk hand in hand through the weddinggardens, speaking sweet sentiments to each other, couldbe the highlight o their day.
Once the guests arrive and the ceremony begins, theyshare the rest o their dream wedding day with all the
people they love, as well. Once that excitement begins, they may not get another completely private time togeth-er. And they wont have to step out o their reception, missing the great songs they requested, to take photos.

Bridesmaids have never been happier when it comes to the dressestheyll wear. Bridal ashion has come so ar since the days o shinysatin dresses o the 1980s; they were dresses that most bridesmaids o
yesteryear bought with great resentment and never wore again. Nowbridesmaid dresses are ashion-orward, oten incorporating some othe same pretty trends as wedding dresses, and bridesmaids are nowwelcome to pick out the style o bodice (rom strapless to strappy tohalter) and skirt (A-line or more tted) that fatters their particular bodshape and personal style, in coordinating colors that make the brides-maids group look gorgeous without being matchy-matchy. These aredresses that bridesmaids are wearing again and again, with The WeddinReports recent survey saying is an average o two to ve times ater thwedding day. Thats a great use o the money spent on buying a antastbridesmaid dress.
Here are the top styles in bridesmaid dresses or 2013 weddings:

avorite trend this season. I, along with every woman inAmerica, have that tiny little mun top under the bottomo the belly, and the peplum is the perect way to hide it.The architecture that goes into designing a peplum dresshas to be so precise. It cant be too long; it cant be tooshort. ... And it has to be pooy enough to make a state-ment, but small enough to not add 15 pounds to your hips!I am in awe every time I see a beautiul peplum.
Bold forals. Bridesmaids dont have to wearsolid colors. Now, bridesmaids might wear dresses eatur-ing brightly colored foral patterns and carry bouquetsdesign in a monochromatic color to let the hues o theirdresses stand out.
Romantic rufes. Delicate rufes osot and fowy abric can give the dress a romantic look, ora sleek sheath dress can eature a ull-length romantic rufedown the back. Theres no contrast to the dress color andrufe color; its all the same abric, and colors may be sotpastels or deep jewel colors like wine or sapphire.
Illusion necklines. The sheer mate-rial o an illusion neckline provides a delicate covering thatshows a subtle amount o skin. While brides oten wearthis style in white or ivory or todays higher neckline style, illusion necklines or bridesmaids may be in a sot pastelcolor.
Lace. The bridesmaids dress may have an all-overlace overlay eect, with todays ultra-decorative largerlace designs or delicate, smaller-pattern romantic lace in asot pastel color. This style is perect or romantic gardenweddings or a more rustic, country-style outdoor wedding.Lace is a new and resh take on bridal party ashion, whilestill giving a nod to vintage style. Incorporating accents likelace and embroidery into the ensemble o your maids iseminine and gives a chic cocktail-party-ready look. Plus, its a perect way or women to wear the dress again! saysJuliana Chan, senior Dress Designer, Davids Bridal.
Style aside, color is the thing when it comes to stylishbridesmaid dresses. In pastels, the top colors are mint, lav-ender, coral and light yellow, with pink always in demandor romantic and eminine hues. In brights and deeperjewel tones, 2013 is all about Emerald, the PANTONEcolor o the year, with deep purple, merlot and sapphireleading the way. Bridesmaids are also wearing shimmeringneutral metallic, like copper and bronze that may be fat-tering to their skin tone. Are bridesmaids all in one color?
Oten, yes. But a growing number o brides are allowingtheir bridesmaids to wear dierent pastel colors to make upa bouquet o pretty looks that coordinate beautiully.

Its ascinating to read about the weddings o your avoriteactors, singers, models and athletes.
When celebrities get married, its the modern-day, grown-up equivalent o a airy tale, where the beautiul princessmarries the handsome prince complete with a lavish ceremonythat very ew can aord, says Tracie Domino o TracieDomino Events. Celebrity weddings present an opportunityto take pleasure in their glamorous existence while hoping thatone day our lives can be perect, too.
Most celebs have the budget to hire top-notch weddingvendors and planners to help them pull o amazing weddings. While its probably not in your budget to copy these nuptials, you can use them or inspiration.
Intimate AffairsActress Blake Lively married actor Ryan Reynolds at Boone
Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; the location o the movieThe Notebook. Their rustic wedding was intimate, too, withabout 70 guests. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds weddinghad a lot o Southern charm, says Becky Hoppmann, ounderand editor-in-chie o Smitten Magazine, a bridal publication, who notes many plantations are available or rental.
They mixed rustic and elegant, too, says Hoppmann, who suggests couples replicate the look with linens and chinarentals.
Another takeaway rom the Lively-Reynolds wedding? They incorporated a monogram and silhouette that was verysweet and Southern, says Hoppmann.
Destination WeddingsMany brides dream o getting married in a romantic location,
but or some celebrity couples, that dream is a reality.Oscar winner Matt Damon and his wie, Luciana Barroso,
recently re-tied the knot in a destination wedding in St. Lucia,a locale in the Caribbean. He reportedly rented out the entireresort and hosted 50 o the couples riends.
TV host Mario Lopez and his bride, Courtney Mazza, gothitched on the beach in Punta Minto, Mexico, alongside manyo their Hollywood riends.
With a destination wedding, youre denitely limited withthe number o people who can make it, who can aord to go,says Hoppmann.
Destination weddings can be pricey but theyre notnecessarily out o reach.
Try to keep it regional, suggests Hoppmann.
Think Pink!Traditionally brides wear white or ivory gowns, but these
days, dresses are getting rosier.
Inspired by the wedding gowns o Anne Hathaway, ReeWitherspoon, Jessica Biel and Crystal Harris, brides afocking to pink in a big way, says Domino. While detalike fowers, linens, decor and bridesmaid dresses in pink haalways been popular, brides wearing pink is very modern aexciting.
Part o the pink appeal is the success o celebrity bridOnce a celebrity has worn a new style, such as a pink weddigown, it makes it that much easier or other woman to tasimilar risks with her wedding day ashion, Domino explai
Many dress designers are embracing the new color trentoo. Domino says recent ashion runways by designers liMonique Lhuillier, Carolina Herrera, Lazaro, Maggie Sotteand Jim Hjelm were ull o pink.

Downtown Cadillac might not beManhattan. But bridal consultantNicole Sherburne o BridalExpressions believes that gownsavailable in their local shop are justas beautiul as the ones eatured onthe popular TV show, Say Yes tothe Dress, lmed at an exclusiveshop in Manhattan.
And what brides want inManhattan is not that dierent romwhat brides ask or in the Midwest.
According to the website or SayYes to the Dress, the number oneashion trend in bridal gowns is adropped waist.
Sherburne agreed.A lot o girls are looking or the

Other popular trends aresweetheart necklines, lighter abrics, and draping/ruched abrics.
Sherburne added that lace is verypopular right now, and keyholeback dresses.
Even though bridal gown trendsand designs might be the samerom coast to coast, there is one bigdierence, price.
Brides on the popular televisionseries oten have budgets in thethousands o dollars.
The average price o a weddinggown purchased at BridalExpressions ranges rom $750 to$900.
The designers we carry, the dresses we carry, they are
gorgeous, Sherburne said. Themost expensive dress we might sellis about $1,200. And we think theyare just as beautiul.
Sherburne and her assistantHannah Amlott then pulled theiravorite dresses rom the racks andtalked about the joy o helpingbrides prepare or their special day
You get excited or them,Sherburne said. You help themthrough the process because it canbe overwhelming.
Color trends or bridesmaidsinclude corals, pool blue and aqua, grape and eggplant. Brides otenpick the color and let the attendantchoose a style that ts their owngure. So the dresses might all be adierent style but in the same colo

with a vest. But in the end, both womenagreed that brides need to choosewhat looks best on them.
Women may come in with anidea o what they want, but rarelydo they end up with what theyhad in mind at rst, explainedSherburne. I think the world hasa stereotypical view o what looksgood, theres a certain image. Andits not what they end up choosingIts not the look they like on

BRIDAL BEAUTY BLUNDERSHow to avoid common mistakes
Kristen Castillo
The pressures on to look your best onyour wedding day. Thats why you needto pay special attention to your overall
look, including your hair, makeup andskin care. Still, all your best eorts couldgo awry i you dont do all the rightthings to avoid bridal beauty blunders.
Dont Overthink ItPulling your bridal style together can
be overwhelming, but its important toocus on what you want.
Listen to yoursel, says celebritymakeup artist and hairstylist AmandaShackleton o NYBridalBeauty.com.Dont listen to your mom or a riend.Dont give in to pressure or a certain
look, she says. Dont overthink it.Youll know the style.
Hair HelpIt may be tempting to try out a new
haircut or color beore the wedding, butthink again.
Stay away rom trying a new color orhairstyle too close to your wedding day, says Shackleton, who suggests settling ona cut and color about our months beorethe big day. Ater that, reshen the cutand color about three weeks beore thewedding.
Radiant SkinGetting bridal-ready skin takes time
and work, starting with properly wash-ing your ace.
Most patients over-cleanse -- eitherin the requency that theyre cleansing
or in the type ocleansers theyre
using, explainsdermatologist Os-car Hevia. Theytend to use veryharsh cleansersthat their skin re-ally cant tolerate, creating moredryness and moreirritation that
makes them have to use more productsto compensate or that.
Hevia advises brides to skip the sun, too.
Nothing accelerates aging like ultra-violet rays, he says. No matter howmuch we try to repair/protect our skin, its much better to not damage it in thefrst place.
To protect against sun damage, Heviasuggests using a sunscreen thats labeledbroad-spectrum, which means it pro-tects against the tanning, or UVA, rays, aswell as the UVB rays.
He says that with a broad-spectrumSPF 15 or SPF 20, youll probably get asmuch anti-aging protection as you wouldi you were using a non-broad-spectrum
40 or 50.
Tanning TipsMany brides want to glow or their
wedding, but tanning beore the big daycan be risky.
I you are in the sun, avoid strapmarks by wearing a strapless top, suggests Shackleton, who explains thatmakeup cant hide a bad tan. Still, a burnis even worse than tan lines.
Be careul and wear sunscreen, asyou dont want to get burned and end upwith dry, peeling skin, especially on your
chest and ace, she says.A spray tan can be a better option.I love spray tans, Hevia says. Its
amazing how natural they look. Theyreso much better or your skin than whatyoure doing in the sun.
Though spray tans may give you a
skin-sae glow, they also can be patchyor orange i not applied properly. Try o
a ew spray tans in the months leadingup to the wedding so you know what texpect.
Be Wary of WaxFrom sculpted eyebrows to a smooth
upper lip to hairless arms, brides otenrely on waxing to be camera-ready. Butwaxing can have disastrous results iyoure not careul.
You can end up with red patches onyour skin, Shackleton says. It can bevery difcult to cover up with makeup
To avoid waxing mistakes, be sure
to wax about 10 days beore the wed-ding. I anything happens, it gives it achance to heal, says Shackleton, whoalso advises brides not to try a new waxing provider beore the wedding. Stickwith someone you trust and have usedbeore.
Another wax warning: Avoid retinoproducts one week prior to waxing, saHevia, who explains that retinols andprescription Retin-A stimulate exoliation, or shedding o the skins top layeI you use retinol products and wax, yoskin may end up irritated and red.
Blemishes and BreakoutsFlawless skin is the ideal or every
bride, but its not always the reality. Stapreparing your skin months beore theceremony.
Shackleton urges brides to avoidgetting acials a ew days beore the wedding. Instead, she suggests doing acialsand other skin procedures about 10 dayto two weeks beore you say, I do.
Pack a Beauty BagYoure sure to be busy on your wed-
ding day, but make sure you have theessentials to touch up your look.
Carry pressed powder and lipstick,Shackleton says. The powder keeps skirom looking shiny, and the lipstickkeeps your smile camera-ready.

July Bridal Boot Camp:
BY ANTONIO COLEMAN - CADILLAC NEWS
Wedding dresses come in many shapes and sizes, justlike the brides who wear them.
And plans to lose extra pounds can be just as importantor some brides as choosing the guests, colors and cake.
Nick Marinelli, manager at Better Bodies, said animportant part o wedding-weight management ismaintaining a healthy diet combined with exercise.
While in the gym, he said light weightliting with lowrepetition is one o the best ways to burn at and tone leanmuscle. Exercises such as squats, cardio and weightlitingcan help women tone their arms, stomach and hips.
Cardio exercises such as jogging and the elliptical are
going be their biggest help in burning at, Marinelli said. The crunches and sit ups can tighten and tone the bellyarea.
He said one o the biggest mistakes women can makeis attempting to lose extra pounds by crash dieting orexcessive exercise just beore their wedding day.
A pound to two pounds a week is a healthy way to
lose. You dont want to crash diet and get zapped and lo
energy, Marinelli said.High-intensity interval training is another way to worout or emergency bridal weight loss, Leah Pearson, clubmanager and health coach at Anytime Fitness said.
Pearson said HIIT is a antastic way to get the advantago traditional training programs in less time. The ratio otraining is dependent on your level o tness, she said.
The idea is to pick an activity that you like to do, andthen fuctuate between periods o high-intensity, sprint-type work and less intense, active recovery periods,Pearson said.
The pattern is repeated several times until youvecompleted 15-20 minutes o exercise, not including the
warm-up and cool-down. The goal is to nish the entireworkout in about 30 minutes.
Stephanie Trombly, owner o Bridal Expressions, saiddress size is one o biggest concerns her clients have whetrying on wedding dresses. She said most girls considertting into their wedding dress even beore gettingengaged.
