INTRODUCTION

The project launched by Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi “Beti bachao beti Padhao” (BBBP) Yojana (save daughter, educate daughter) to save and empower the girl child is making waves all over the nation.

Buland Awaaz Slum School is a free study center for poor under privileged children

OBJECTIVES• To promote primary education among the

economically underprivileged children.• Prevent gender based sex selective elimination.• Ensure survival & protection of the girl child.• Ensure education of the girl child.• To reduce malnutrition through nutritional

supplements.• To work for uplifting poor rural/village

children’s for their overall development.• To promote eco-friendly living.

INITIATIVES TAKEN BY“BULAND AWAAZ”

Help children by providing pre elementary education and their interest in studies. The school is up to 5th class. It provides :

• Notebooks,

• Books,

• Stationeries,

• School Bags,

• Dresses, etc. at free of cost to children with mid-day meal everyday .

OUR ROLE • Prevent female infanticide

• Ensure every girl child gets equality & quality education

• Working together towards a common goal

• Educating people for the better future

• Talk to the local government officer

OBSERVATIONS

• Staff strength and capacities need to be enhanced for future prospects for the disabled children to be effective.

• Looking at the current scenario more marketing effort should be done at the organizational level. As it is require to sustain in near future.

• More awareness among people will lead to more funds.

SUGGESTIONS

• The trust can arrange some experienced visiting staff so that the children can get the required knowledge.

• More volunteers should be encouraged to address the children so that the additional coaching can be given.

• Individual counselling should be done so that the children can express their needs and necessary steps should be taken to resolve the problems.

• The trust should approach other intuitions to provide such kind of facilities for the betterment of the future of the girl child’s.

CHALLENGES

• Problems with mind thinking regarding girl’s education.

• Less support from local government bodies.

• Lack of Infrastructure and Environment.

• Lack of Networks.

• Lack of Funding.

CONCLUSION

• BULAND AWAAZ is doing a good job towards the future of the children. We can also conclude that the organization requires more awareness and services regarding education in respect of the future of the children should be taken as major function so that the number of children not continuing with the BULAND AWAAZ will be reduced. Surveys should be done so that the trust can understand the problems and get more number of volunteers for their additional support.
