Romans 5: 1-2

Some things in our lives need to hear a loud “no longer”

Point 1:

For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

Romans 6:14

The power to live out a lasting “no longer” can’t be found under the law

Point 2:

“You are not under law but under grace”

“a mental and emotional disorder that affects only part of the personality, is accompanied by a less distorted perception of reality than in a psychosis…does not result in disturbance of the use of language, and is accompanied by various physical, psychological, and mental disturbances (as visceral symptoms, anxieties or phobias).” (Merriam-Webster 2003)

Neurosis:

Be kind to one another; tender-hearted, forgiving (GK *charίzomai) one another as God in Christ forgave (GK* charίzomai) you.

Ephesians 4:32

2 Thessalonians 3:14 Take special note of anyone who does not obey our instruction in this letter. Do not associate with them, in order that they may feel ashamed.

Titus 3:10 Warn a divisive person once, and then warn them a second time. After that, have nothing to do with them.

This hope will not disappoint us.

It’s time we no longer see our lives under any heading but “Grace”

Point 3:

But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. Romans 3:21-29

Let’s trade our “no longer worthy” for “I’m no longer the same”.

Above the ark were the cherubim of the Glory, overshadowing the atonement cover. But we cannot discuss these things in detail now.

We will see the face of Grace and need grace to bear the beauty.
