Dear Church Family, Merry Christmas! Thanks for
coming today. What a ti me of the year! In a lifeti me, you only get so many Christmas celebrati ons. We are in the midst of a weekend cramming in as much as we can to honor God’s gift at Christmas, our Lord Jesus Christ! Indeed, O Come, Let
Us Adore Him. Thanks for coming this morning to approach our Lord together and savor the gift of God’s Son.
You have made our Christmas bett er by coming. Our yearning is that God could use us to encourage you as we together ponder and treasure the hope of Christmas found in Jesus Christ. If you are a new friend, welcome! If you are a regular part of this band of encouragement, thank you! Isn’t it great to be together again to acknowledge what is true about Christmas in worship? Worship helps keep Christmas in the right light all the way through December.
Yesterday, we partnered with Union Mission and served families with worship and food staples. Last night, our Bible Center Band led in a concert honoring Jesus. Tonight, our choir, both adult and children, and orchestra will host an evening celebrati on of this unspeakable gift . Jesus has come! We can have hope! Christmas joy is sustained through a relati onship with Jesus.
Our worship this morning will take us to the Lord’s Table. Amazing stuff – this mystery of godliness! Word of the Father, now in fl esh appearing! Wow! He took up a body to lay it down, so that we could experience forgiveness and new life. Join in the adorati on today.
Keep going,
Eric MountsS P

Finding Yourself in the Parables (Part 2)Pastor Bill Tanzey
Jesus of Nazareth was the great Teacher. One of His favorite teaching methods was the use of parables. These simple, yet profound, stories embody the heart of Jesus’ teachings. He used common, everyday images to teach deep spiritual proofs. One can’t study the parables without being changed. In this class, we will use traditional Bible study methods. Come prepared to be challenged by the words of the great Teacher. These 1st century parables will speak to us in our 21st century lives.
How God has Wired YouPastor Troy Thornton, Caleb Korth, Tim Abraham
All of us want to know what God has created us to do. Maybe you have even asked yourself some of these questions:How can God use my unique personality? What is it that I am really passionate about? What are my spiritual gifts? Where can God best use me?Join us as we set out on a very practical journey through the scriptures to answer these questions. We will learn how God has created and gifted each of us uniquely. We will also seek to understand how He has joined us with other followers of Jesus in order to accomplish His purpose together in this world. Then, fi nally, we will explore concrete ways to maximize practical opportunities to utilize the way God has Wired You!
Financial Peace University (Different Start Date!)
Mr. Tim Abraham We all need a plan for our money. Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University (FPU) teaches God’s ways of handling money, equipping us to be faithful disciples with the blessings He has given us. Through video teaching, class discussions, and interactive small group activities, FPU presents biblical, practical steps to get from where you are to where you’ve dreamed you could be. This plan will show you how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and much more.On average, participants in Bible Center’s FPU sessions have saved $1,320 and paid off $2,280 of non-mortgage debt during the 2.5-month class...and that $3,600 turnaround is just the beginning!
GriefSharePastor Chad Cowan
Are you in the middle of the grieving process? It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before. This is where GriefShare can help. As one person described it, “Going to GriefShare feels like having warm arms wrapped around you when you’re shivering.” The GriefShare group will be meeting weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life.
Book of the Night ClubPastor Eric Mounts
Each week, we will survey a book of the Bible and seek to master its message. We will acquaint ourselves with the argument of the book with particular attention to the book’s unique contribution to the whole library of scripture. We will ponder the individual message of each book for living. Want to master eight books of the Bible this winter?Let’s do it together!

There are few treasures in life quite like friendship. Friendship is to be valued and cherished. Who of us is not indebted to our loyal friends? But, there is no friendship in life to be coveted like friendship with God! Moses related intimately with God. Through Jesus Christ, we can share in friendship with God. Moses leads us into deeper levels of relating to God. His life, with all of its twists and turns, has much to teach us about deepening our relationship with the Living God! In this new series, we’ll move into 2015 trekking through his life. We’ll work on our friendship with God! Moses’ extraordinary life will move us to consider our own relationship with Him. He has much to teach us about knowing God and pursuing Him through a life of service.
