DEMAND FOR ARIBORNE TOURISM TRAFFIC (passengers/year)
18
In order to manage the growing demand the Corrado Gex aeroport needs to be able to receive aircrafts 70/80 passengers capable (ex. ATR 72/500- 72 passengers). The operative capacity of ATR 72 fully loaded, is approximately 715 nautical miles. This should enable a link between Aosta with any area originating the in-coming and out-going tourism. The regional governement has recently approved the intervention on the runway (the length shall be approx. 1500 m.) and on technicalities needed for the strumental flights. The airport might be, in the near futures, involved in the Galileo pilot project for the GPS system flights.
