• 1,505 public libraries across the country including mobile libraries

• Services are funded by local and state or territory governments

• The provide for good citizenship and provide resources and support for self education, literacy and life-long learning in communities

• All provide internet access and most provide wi-fi

India & Australia:

• Two ancient lands• Among the worlds largest countries

(India 3.5 million sq km; Australia 5.5 million sq km)

• Both former British colonies• Celebrate our national day on 26
