WELCOMEMESSAGEFROM THEPRESIDENTOF APOA
The Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association (APOA) plays a pivotal role in creating a platform of communication and networking for the orthopaedic community in the Asia Pacific region and all over the world. The APOA organises a biennial congress which brings together orthopaedic surgeons, scientists, researchers, allied healthcare professionals, and nurses to share their expertise, experiences, and knowledge on the science and practice of orthopaedic surgery and its subspecialties in the midst of ever-developing medical management and innovations today.
The 21st Biennial Congress of the APOA will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. At this Congress, we aim to provide a plethora of scientific sessions for all the specialties of orthopaedic surgery where senior surgeons can impart their expertise and junior surgeons can learn and debate issues. There will also be keynote addresses, plenary lectures, symposia, live workshops, and opportunities for the participants to present their research work at the oral presentations. Together with the Scientific
Chairman of this Congress, Prof Tunku Kamarul Zaman, and the Chairmen of the APOA Subspecialty Sections as well as the local coordinators, we hope to provide you with a Congress which is both stimulating and rewarding.
The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre lies in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. It is surrounded by many attractions such as the famous PETRONAS Twin Towers and Suria KLCC shopping centre. It is also easily accessible as it is within walking distance from our public transport and is well-surrounded by many hotels. Malaysia is well-known for its melting pot of culinary and cuisines due to its multi-ethnic diversities and you will be amazed by the many local delights and attractions here.
Together with my Organising and Scientific Committee, it is our privilege and honour to welcome you to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 24 to 26 September 2020.
