Goh Mia Siang is a Professional Engineer registered with ProfessionalEngineers Board, Singapore. He has over 21 years of experiences in design,construction, operation and maintenance of acute hospital facilities. Hisexperiences include commissioning new hospital facilities and setting up ofsupport operations in new hospitals, both in public and private sectors. Engr.Goh is currently the Operations Director overseeing the Facilities Management,Project Management and Safety Management, in Tan Tock Seng Hospital (whichmanages over 1,500 operational beds). Projects managed by him includeNational Public Health Lab@Biopolis, TB/Ebola Isolation Ward Development,Outpatient Pharmacy Transformation, New Invasive Cardiac Lab and NationalTuberculosis Control Unit. Engr. Goh was responsible for ramping up andmodification of hospital facilities to support the clinical operations during SARSin 2003. Engr. Goh’s early experience as an engineer in the Public WorksDepartment includes design and management of public sector projects. Engr.Goh has considerable experience in implementation of projects to improveoperational readiness, health, safety and resources conservation. These projectsled to TTSH’s achievement of numerous awards including 2006 ASEAN EfficientBuilding Award (1st Position) and 2006 BCA Green Mark Platinum Award(Retrofitted Building Category).
