Dear Team,

As we enter the New Year with high spirits & positive approach, I take this opportunity to

reflect over the last 365 days of 2017, which exited on an eventful & exciting note. From a 2

branch company in 2016, we are now present in over 40 plus locations. From a 100 odd

employees mostly in Corporate office to over 300 employees spread across 6 states. From

almost 1 to 2 cr. disbursals per month in July’16 to 30 cr. per month in Nov.’17, touching a

peak of 710 logins & 430 sanctions - all this with virtually Zero NPA. From Rainbow to

Digitization. From paper to paperless. From loss to profit. From RAAS to ART (Alliances,

Relationships and Technology) the journey of transformation has just commenced. The hard

work and effort, that has gone into this transition cannot be stated in a few words. No

appreciation & gratitude is enough for the sacrifices you all have made. Unlike many others

in the market, we are proud to create a sustainable competitive strength & advantage

without aiming to be a fly by night company. We wish to go from one milestone to another,

keeping sustainable systems & risks in mind. We are in for a marathon not a 100 meter race. I

hope that all of us remember the ‘550 Cr’ pledge we took during ART-O-TSAV. We need to

gun for this number in next 3 months, i.e last quarter. I am sure all of you will double , triple &

quadruple the efforts and ensure that we emerge with flying colors, on the other side of

March 2018, ticking 550 cr book size. My best wishes & support to all of you. Cheers...

Murugappa Group’s Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Co

Ltd plans to set up a housing finance company as it sees potential

opportunities to grow in this business. The company’s Board

approved setting up of a housing finance company as a

subsidiary and approved necessary authorizations to make an

application to the NHB, it said in a communiqué to stock

CRISIL Ratings have cautioned that delinquencies in the loan

against property (LAP) market are set to rise 70 basis points to

3.3 per cent this fiscal. This is in view of the underlying risks

stemming from moderating growth, intensifying competition

Also, CRISIL commented that while banks would continue to do

well in retail finance, they will grow fastest in the wholesale

finance segment. Home loans, the largest business segment for

non-banks, is expected to grow at a steady compounded annual

growth rate of around 18 per cent over the next three fiscals,

owing to sharper focus of housing finance companies on the self-

PMAY PROGRESS

Till now 36 states/Union Territories have signed MOU and

4313 cities have been selected to actively participate in

PM’s ‘Housing for All’ mission. Andhra Pradesh tops the

list in terms of total investment towards the project with

total Rs. 31,113 Crs invested. Andhra Pradesh has

grounded 1,71,002 houses and 21,470 houses have been

completed. 16,470 households have already started living

in their new homes. Puducherry (UT) is lowest in this list

with Rs. 246 Cr. invested and 33 houses being completed

and occupied.
