Falcons Football team has reached
the quarterfinals of the State 1A
Football Tournament, and our
Saintes Volleyball team has
reached the semifinals in the state
tournament. Our participants on
the community swim team finished
their season strong, and so did our
cross country teams!

Grandparents Day 2016
Students hosted Grandparents Day on September 9, 2016 We welcomed
hundreds of guests to campus to celebrate Mass, spend time in our elementary
classrooms and join our middle school and high school students for lunch. It was
a wonderful day for our entire community. Our next grandparent luncheon will
be school-wide, and held on January 30, 2017. Thank you for joining us!

Saint Albert Catholic Schools Receives Award for 5th Time
Introduced in 2007, the Bank Iowa Traveling Challenge Cup is a statewide competi-
tion designed to recognize Iowa high school students for academic excellence and
outstanding achievement during state competitions. Winning schools in each of the
state’s four classifications (1A, 2A, 3A and 4A) with the best combined score for
academics, athletics, music, speech and debate, receive a prestigious crystal award
and $2,000 for the 2016-17 academic year to be used for academic enhance-
ment. Saint Albert earned 640 points, the second place finishing school earned 600.
