On September 16, 2014, alumni from Cedar Rapids and Iowa City came together for
the USB Alumni Luncheon led by Cedar Rapids, Iowa City Community Regional
President Nancy Kasparek and Iowa City Market President Curt Heideman.

On September 16, 2014, alumni
from Cedar Rapids and Iowa City
came together for the first annual
USB Alumni Luncheon recogniz-
ing each other and their careers
with U.S. Bank.
Prior to the luncheon, alumni had
the opportunity to visit informa-
tional tables to learn about volun-
teer opportunities, technology and
Get Green with US.
Following the luncheon, a presen-
tation was made by special guest
speakers Nancy Kasparek, Cedar
Rapids, Iowa City community
regional president and Curt
Heideman, Iowa City market
president. Nancy and Curt sum-
marized the market updates for
Cedar Rapids and Iowa City.

Nadine Wax was honored at the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City
alumni event held on September 16, 2014. Nadine retired after
36 years with U.S. Bank. Nadine’s career began in Real Estate
and Mortgage Loans taking her to various leadership roles.
Nadine has one daughter and two grandchildren.
James “Jim” Sangster was also honored at the Cedar Rapids
and Iowa City alumni event. Jim retired from U.S. Bank after a
40 year banking career. Jim held various leadership roles includ-
ing senior vice president. James and his wife, Jackie, have three
children, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
We are proud to call Nadine and James U.S. Bank Alumni.

About this year’s Cedar Rapids and Iowa City Alumni Luncheon hosts: Regional President Nancy Kasparek | Nancy Kasparek has been with U.S. Bank for 16 years and is currently a regional president with re-sponsibilities for the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City region. Nancy is very involved in the community and sits on the board of trustees for Mt. Mer-cy University, Junior Achieve-ment, Big Brothers Big Sis-ters, Juvenile Diabetes and United Way. She currently serves on the board of direc-tors for Four Oaks, Mercy Medical Center, Mercy Medi-cal Center Foundation, Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alli-ance where she is currently chair and the Self-Supported Municipal Improvement Dis-trict (SSMID) commission. Nancy is a past appointee for the Governor's Small Busi-ness Advisory Board. She is a past board member of Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes and Waypoint Services. Nancy has been recognized as a 2010 Woman of Influ-ence by the Corridor Business
Journal, twice recognized as a Waypoint Tribute to Woman Nominee and three times as a member of the Most Powerful Women in Banking Team by American Banker Magazine. She was the recipient of the 2012 Betty Berry Volunteer Award. Nancy attended the University of Northern Iowa where she majored in Public Relations. She lives in Marion with her husband Joel and five chil-dren. Market President Curt Heideman | Curt is originally from New Hampton, IA. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in sports administration from the Uni-versity of Iowa. Curt has been with U.S. Bank since 2003. During his tenure at the bank he has served in several capacities within the commercial department. Curt has been in a leadership role at U.S. Bank since 2006. In December 2011, Curt was named market president for U.S. Bank in Iowa City. Curt is the past chair of the board at the Boys & Girls Club of Cedar Rapids, a board
member at Junior Achieve-ment of Iowa City, a board member at Iowa City Area Economic Development, a board member at 100+ Men, Hawkeye Chapter, an Iowa City noon Rotarian and has been a “big brother” in the Big Brothers Big Sisters organiza-tion. Curt is married to Leah Heide-man. They have a 5-year-old son named Holden and a 2-year-old daughter named Har-per. The family lives in Coral-ville, IA.
