About Us• Formed in August, 1969 with an aim to create a strong and efficient marketing
infrastructure by setting up modern markets for agriculture and horticulture
production.
• The primary objective is to set up a marketing infrastructure for better regulation of

• Grew from 58 to 107 Market Committees, 58 to 178 Sub yards and 60 to 193
Purchase Centers.
• Engaged in multifarious activities for farming community and rural development such
as constructing / modernizing agricultural marketing infrastructure, rural roads , rural
stadiums, model villages and especially a cold chain network throughout the state.
• Earning approx Rs. 525 crores per annum. Likely to increase at the pace of 20-30%
annually.

Set up efficient marketing services .
Develop post harvest management infrastructure with forward and backward linkage.
Integrate and professionalize delivery of agricultural services and get better value
for the farmer's produce.
Facilitate diversification of crops and promote judicious and profitable use of land
resources.
Introduce knowledge and technology based interventions.
Develop quality control and standards in agriculture Sector.
Introduce processing for all types of Horticulture produce to add value and reduce
post harvest losses (25% to 40%) to bare minimum for 75% to 100% realization of produce.

AGRO MALL ROHTAK

• Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board has developed Agro Mall atRohtak with its estimated cost of Rs. 89.53 Crores, Panipat with itsestimated cost of Rs. 40 Crores, Karnal with its estimated cost of Rs.80Crores.
• These Malls is first project is of its own kind where agriculture relatedproducts will be on sale. There is a provision of shops, Showroom, Foodcourt/Hall & PVR of difference sizes.court/Hall & PVR of difference sizes.
• Since Rohtak, Karnal & Panipat is rich agricultural belt of Haryana, soGovernment of Haryana have decided to set up such a Mall in this towns.
• The Mall have a huge central atrium which connects to all circulationcorridors. It will be storeyed high having capsule lifts, escalators andbridges.
• The buildings is equipped with lifts, escalator and staircases and a ramp forvertical circulation.
• Special care has been taken to make the building disabled – friendly.
