MOU/Agreement Countries

Indian Railway Station Development Corporation (IRSDC) entered into a tripartite agreement with French National

Railways (SNCF) and French Development Agency (AFD), under which a grant of up to 7 lakh euros will be provided

to boost capacity building for railway station development program in India.

India has partnered with Portugal to set up a national maritime heritage museum at Lothal in Gujarat.

Japan has decided to invest about Rs 13,000 crore in several ongoing as well as new projects in different states of

the north-eastern region.

Hinduja Group flagship firm Ashok Leyland has partnered with Suryoday Small Finance Bank for vehicle loans.

Under the pact, the bank will provide end-to-end financial solutions to Ashok Leyland’s customers for auto loans

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) and the

Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for data exchange between the two regulatory organisations.

ECL Finance, the flagship non-banking financial company of Edelweiss Group, and Bank of Baroda, India’s second

largest public sector bank, signed an agreement to form a strategic partnership to explore co-lending opportunities.

The Railway Ministry release said that the Indian Railways signed the MoU with RailTel Enterprises Ltd (REL), a

wholly-owned subsidiary company of RailTel Corporation of India Ltd, for modernization of signalling system on

four sections, which includes Automatic Train Protection System with Long Term Evolution (LTE) based Mobile Train

Radio Communication System (MTRC), together with provision of Electronic Interlocking (indoor) wherever

required.

IT firm Tech Mahindra has signed a multi-year contract with Airbus for cabin and cargo design engineering with an

aim to capitalise on the specialised skills and competencies in the growing cabin engineering business over the next

few years.

parental income is less than 2 lakh rupees per year.

In an effort to boost digital payments, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) scrapped charges levied on Real Time Gross

Fincare Small Finance Bank and Kookmin Bank have been included in the second schedule of the Reserve Bank of

India Act, according to RBI notifications.

Paytm Payments Bank has received a target of 501.16 crore digital transactions for the financial year 2019-20 from

the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), higher than the targets set for major banks

including HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Punjab National Bank.

The share of e-Money in India’s payment systems grew to 21.5 per cent in 2017 from 0.8 per cent in 2012,

according to a new report from the Reserve Bank of India.

In February 2018, the RBI had issued a framework on the resolution of stressed assets under which banks were

asked to initiate resolution or restructuring of loans worth Rs 2,000 crore or more even if there was a single day of

default. The RBI has now revised the circular and said that a lender should initiate a resolution plan before the

loan default.
