The Team
To our Members, Neighbors, and Friends,
At the Y, we strive to create programs and services that will positively impact and change lives for the better. As the President and CEO of the NSYMCA, I have certainly seen positive changes in mine. This year, I participated in the “Lose to Win” healthy living challenge. Just six months later and 27 lbs lighter, I am feeling better than ever before. Not only did I lose weight, but I feel great: my blood sugar has dropped significantly, and my back and knees no longer hurt. The NSYMCA’s professional staff have given me the tools to maintain a healthier lifestyle, using a common-sense approach to nutrition and exercise.
You’ll find our fall program guide overflowing with exciting new programs and events that will make a positive impact on you and your family. We’re proud to offer the widest variety of activities to appeal to every age and interest. Just as importantly, we remain committed to being a cen-ter for the entire community, with special needs programs, financial assistance options, a new loyalty program to reward our members, and public events that are accessible to everyone.
Thanks for being part of the Heart of the Community – your North Suburban YMCA.

Naismith hung peach baskets to the bottom of a second-level running track and taught the men his new game: basketball. Today, basketball is second only to soccer as the most popular sport in the world.
