Program Overviews
Facilitate energy efficient design and construction through incentives and design assistance– California Advanced Homes Program (CAHP) – single family– California Multi-Family New Homes (CMFNH) – multi-family
Programs target two goals set forth by the CPUC– By 2015: 90% of new homes at least 20% better than 2008 code– By 2020: 100% of new homes to reach Zero Net Energy (ZNE)
Program is funded under the auspices of the CPUC– Incentive levels and program requirements may be revised
during the program cycle

CAHP and CMFNH scores replace percent better than code
The redesigned programs will:1. Align with statewide 2020 Zero Net Energy (ZNE) Residential Goal2. Coordinate with 2013 Energy Code adoption on July 1, 20143. Include all energy end-uses within the home’s envelope4. Create a program that can adapt to new technologies5. Encourage advanced building in all climate zones6. Provide a logical performance metric

23
CAHP – Equipment Specifications
Submit manufacturer's specification sheet, with models and efficiencies clearly identified for:
– Glazing (with NFRC values)– HVAC– Water heater
NOTE: Invoices are not acceptable
24
CAHP – HERS Sharing
HERS Raters are responsible for project sharing in the 2013 registries
– Contact us if you need registry sharing instructions – Indicate if project name differs from the application – Please confirm via email when you have shared the project in
the registry
25
CAHP – Application Best Practices
1) Submit entire application package at one time2) Clearly label all documents3) Double-check that specification sheets identify exact model
and efficiency of what is installed (use highlighter or circle)4) Maintain communication with your project team
