Foreword
The OptiX RTN 600 is a split-mount digital microwave transmission system developed by Huawei. RTN 600 provides various service interfaces and features flexible configuration and easy installation. It can construct a radio transmission network that serves as backhaul links for mobile communication networks or private networks. The RTN 600 can also construct a hybrid network that is used to transmit SDH, PDH, and Ethernet services together with the OptiX series optical transmission products of Huawei.

IDU
The IDU is the indoor unit of an OptiX RTN 600 system. It accesses services, and performs multiplexing/de-multiplexing and IF processing of the services.
The OptiX RTN 600 IDU is available in three types: IDU 610, IDU 620, and IDU 605.

IF Cable• The IF cable provides -48V power for ODU and transmits the IF signal an
d ODU management signal between IDU and ODU. • The IDU and ODU are connected by IF jumper and IF Cable:
IF jumper : The IF jumper is a 2 m RG223 cable. The IF jumper uses a TNC connector at one end to connect to the IF board, a type-N connector at the other end to connect to the IF cable.
IF Cable : Both end are type-N connector, one end to connect to IF jumper, the other end to connect to ODU. There are two types of IF Cable: RG-8U and 1/2 inch.
RG-8U cable is used for the distance less than 180 meter. 1/2 inch cable is used for the distance between 180m and 300m.

Hybrid Coupler
When two ODUs share one antenna, the ODUs must be connected to an RF signal coupler/ splitter (hybrid coupler). Then, the hybrid coupler is connected to the antenna.

IFH2 Board- OptiX RTN 620 The IFH2 receives and transmits one channel of IF signals, provides
the management channel between the IFH2 and the ODU, and provides the –48 V power required by the ODU.
The IFH2 supports the hybrid transmission of E1 services and Ethernet services.
The IFH2 provides one GE electrical interface on the front panel.

SCC Board -- NM Cable Connection The SCC board sets the NE ID through the software. The initial NE
ID is set to 49136 by default.
The IP address of NE is also set through the software. The IP
address is set to 129.9.0.ID by default.

On The board is working normally.
On The board hardware is faulty.
Off The board is not working, or not created, or has no input power.
PROG
On 100 ms and off 100 ms
During the board power-on/reset, loading the software.
On 300 ms and off 300 ms
The board software is introduced through the BIOS during the power-on/reset.
On Initialize the upper layer software.
On 100 ms and off 100 ms
During the board power-on/reset, BOOTROM self-test fails.

On During the board power-on/reset, the memory self-test fails or the upper layer software loading fails, or
during the board running, the logical file and software are lost.
Off The software is normal.
ALM
On The system is normal.
On The system has a critical or major alarm.
On The system has a minor alarm.
Off The system has no input power.
MANTOn The system is in maintenance state ( that is, loop-
back, laser power-off, and ODU transceiver mute)
Off The system is in working state.
