School Surveys Please find attached the Yoogali Public School Evaluation and Planning Parent Survey. These surveys are an important feedback for our future planning. Could you please complete your survey and return them to the school by Monday 15th November. These surveys assist in the development of the Annual School Report and our future directions or needs as a school. It would be greatly appreciated if these surveys were completed and returned. Thank you. School Hats The Education Department has the „No hat no play’ policy. We would like to remind all students to bring their school hat every day. The school is unable to lend out hats due to health regulations. New hats are able to be purchased from the school office for $10 each.

Trent Barrett Shield Report
The Small Schools Trent Barrett Shield team travelled to
Wagga on Thursday to compete in the regional finals. It was
the first time we had ever made the finals.
Our first game was against Gundagai Public School, and our
boys thought they had walked into the Land of the Giants as
they were dwarfed by the much bigger GPS boys. Our boys
were a bit shell-shocked in the first half and by the time the
hooter went they were down 20-0. A half-time chat with Coach
Steve Mott gave the boys some inspiration and they performed
very well in the second half before going down 28-8.
Our next opponents were Sacred Hearts Catholic School from
Cootamundra, who also had a big team. It was a tight
encounter but two brilliant individual tries from one of their
players in the second half proved the difference as they went
on to a 12-0 victory.
The final game was against Temora Public School and this was
again a very close match. Our boys fell behind 12-0 before
scoring two quick tries to get within four points. With time
running out and TPS deep on attack, Isaac Campbell took an
intercept and streaked away for the try line. As the siren
sounded he was tackled metres short of the try line. TPS won
12-8.
It was an amazing experience for all our boys. They gave
100% in all their games and never took a backward step. They
are to be congratulated on their efforts in making the finals and
playing with such wonderful sportsmanship.
I’d also like to thank the coach, Steve Mott, and all the parents
for making the effort to get the boys to training and the games
in Griffith and Wagga. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Half way through the term
already!
K/1 has been doing many
assessments over the past
weeks in preparation for end of
year reports. I am extremely
proud of all of my students for
the effort they have put into
these assessments and I am
very pleased with their results.
Miss Dance finished up her 3
week practicum with us last
Friday. She had an amazing
time with K/1 and she was sad
to leave. On behalf of Miss
Dance I would like to say thank
you to all of the students,
parents and staff for making
her feel a part of Yoogali Public
School and our community.
We will be continuing our work
on Pirates over the next few
weeks and we will begin our
Christmas craft and decorating
(so very excited about this)!
We have 3 more weeks of
Kindergarten Orientation and I
am looking forward to spending
more time with each of our new
Kindergarten students over the
next few weeks.
Jaimee :-)
I cannot believe that we are almost half way through the term! In our classroom over the last few weeks we have been busy with assessment for the end of year reports. It is great to see how much individual students have grown in both literacy and numeracy. We have also been looking at persuasive texts in literacy, and this week will be creating speeches and exploring how we can persuade our audience. There was an EXPLOSION of glitter in our classroom last week (and I am sure that I am still collecting some on me) as we are busy getting decorations made for our Yoogali Public School Christmas tree at Griffith Central. Be sure to check out our tree early next week, with decorations made by every student at our school! 2/3/4 are very close to their next class reward. When we reach 75 points we will have an afternoon of games outside which the whole class is very excited about. They are working very hard at improving their listening skills and walking to class without talking. Well done 2/3/4. Emma
Well what a week! I feel like I blink and the next week is starting! Assessments are all done and dusted and I must congratulate all the 5/6 students in the way they conducted themselves as they really took these exams seriously! Every student has demonstrated improvement, with some progressing at an amazing rate. I am very pleased with the outcomes I have witnessed when analysing the data. Reports are well underway and will be available to all parents at the Presentation Night on Thursday 9th December. Year 6 parents, please contact the office when you have organised the number of guests you will require for the Year 6 Graduation Dinner. We are tentatively getting table numbers organised. The sooner you have this information to me the better prepared I will be!
Don‟t forget to order a school magazine! They will be a great keepsake for all students. ~ Monica ~
