IPSIGNATURE / BGANIPSignature offers remote satellite users controlled access to the new generation of Inmarsat IP based
services. With IPSignature at the core of the network, the operator has complete control over costs,
removing the inherent risks of IP connectivity whilst retaining the benefits of sharing the additional
bandwidth connectivity.
All services can be offered on a pre-paid basis to registered users and crew. These services include:
email, instant messaging, Fax, SMS, web browsing (including dedicated news and sport content) and
access to company intranet applications.
Simultaneous connections are managed and billing is seamlessly split between pre and post paid
usage. Contention controls are available to ensure the prioritisation of business traffic.

BGANInmarsat’s Broadband Global Area Network service – BGAN – is the world’s first mobile communications service to provide both
voice and broadband data simultaneously through a single, truly portable device on a global basis. It is also the first to offer
guaranteed data rates on demand to remote locations, avoiding slow dial-up connections, or worse still, no access at all. With the Inmarsat BGAN service a broadband mobile office can be set up in minutes, providing an affordable, mobile broadband
service at speeds up to half a megabit in a highly compact, easy to use form.BGAN supports the latest IP services, as well as traditionalcircuit-switched voice and data integrating seamlessly withcorporate networks. It will support legacy applications whileproviding a smooth upgrade path to IP. Inmarsat has vastexperience in providing secure communications to military andgovernment customers. BGAN meets these exactingrequirements and supports all major VPN products andencryption standards.
Global coverageBGAN delivers seamless network coverage across most of theworld’s land mass. Users are able to get broadband whereverthey go – not just in major cities or at the airport. BGAN isaccessible in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, North andSouth America.
HardwareBGAN is accessible via a range of small, lightweight satellite terminals, which provide performance options to suit different
operational needs. Standard terminals are highly portable and can be used both indoors and outdoors, being robust enough to
withstand challenging environments and extremes of temperature. Vehicular systems comprise an interior, rack mountable terminal
and discreet tracking antenna, which is mounted on the vehicle roof. The smallest standard terminals are designed to suit single
users, for whom portability is a key consideration. The larger standard terminals offer a WLAN capability and are particularly
suitable for small teams that need to establish a temporary office for an extended period. They are also suitable for users requiring
higher bandwidth to enable applications such as live broadcasting. The service is accessed via BGAN LaunchPad, a software interface, which is standard across all BGAN terminals.BGAN is designed for simplicity and ease of use. No specialist technical expertise is required to set up and use it.BGAN TERMINAL COMPARISON

WHAT ARE EGGER PLANNING TO DO?
"The proposed investment in the new component facility will be a keystep in securing the timber industry in Northumberland. It willundoubtedly add considerably to the £179m per annum which EGGERcontributed to the local economy, even before the recent £100minvestment in the board plant. It will process local materials, reducing the need to transport them for processing elsewhere and itwill add further benefits with the recycling of materials from theproduction process. It will reduce the need for imports, addingemployment opportunities to the 470 direct jobs which the existingplant provides for West Northumberland. The investment will helpdeliver EGGER's vision for a cluster of timber activities at Hexham, avision which is shared by the local authorities and One NorthEastfollowing detailed research into the long term potential of theindustry in the County."
John HamiltonEconomic Development OfficerNorthumberland County Council
We wish to develop a state of the art Furniture Components facility. The new facility would convert and add value to the Melamine FacedChipboard panels we currently produce by cutting, edging and drillingthe panels into cut size components. This example of ‘forward integration’ is focused on efficiency andoptimising the supply chain from EGGER to our customer base in thefurniture manufacturing industry.
WHAT WILL IT LOOK LIKE?The building would occupy a floor space of approximately 22,000 m2(approximately 7% of the total size of the existing EGGER site). It will be self-contained with no chimney’s or silo’s.
There is a 6 stageprocess:-
1. Goods In & Store
2. Cutting
3. Routing & Edging
4. Drilling
5. Packaging
6. Warehouse & Loading
WHAT WOULD THE BENEFITS BE?WELCOME TO OURPUBLIC CONSULTATION EXHIBITION
Having already invested over £110 million todevelop one of the most advanced chipboardproduction sites in Europe with the ‘Conti-Roll’development at Hexham, EGGER UK hopes to makea further substantial investment on a state of the artFurniture Components facility. This would bringfurther significant benefits for the local economy by
generating 45 new jobs over the next few years and further indirectand temporary jobs during the construction period.
To do this, the company requires planning permission from TynedaleCouncil but before we submit our final application, we want to hearYOUR views on our proposals.
Here we explain our outline plans for ‘forward integration’ at theHexham site.
Bob LiveseyJoint Managing Director (Commercial)EGGER UK Ltd
LAND ALREADY EARMARKED FORDEVELOPMENTThe land we seek to build on is safeguarded by Tynedale Council foremployment related development post 2006, and is identified in anindependent study as being ideal for accommodating timber andforestry related companies given its location adjacent to the existingplant and its proximity to timber supplies at Kielder Forest.
INDEPENDENT REPORT FINDINGS:-Among the options identified by the study as being attractive (for theHexham site) were:
• Sawmilling
• Bio Energy (which EGGER now have on site as part of the 2006investment)
• Further wood panels expansion (which has taken place sincethe report)
• Panels value added (an example of which is FurnitureComponents)
The study identified that revenue generated by ‘value added’development is “at the heart of paying for the environmental, tourist, rural development and recreational aspirations targeted in the regionalstrategic plans”.
The study scored the option of Furniture Components as ‘low’ from anoise, emission and visual impact point of view.
Report carried out by Jaakko Pöyry Consulting, commissioned by Tynedale Council,Northumberland County Council, Forestry Commission and One NorthEast.
WHY DOES EGGER WANT TO INVEST?• To counteract the pressure our customers face from overseas
competition – they require an efficient domestic supplier who cansupply product ‘Just in Time’
• To help off-set rising raw material costs – rising timber, energyand chemical costs means that our customers need the mostefficient supply chain possible to off-set these price rises whichthey find difficult to pass onto the public
• To ensure efficient material utilisation – supplying our customerswith component pieces rather than full sized boards means thatthey only receive what they need, resulting in less processing forthem and less waste to dispose of, making it much more efficient
• To increase efficiency in transport – only the material required istransported to the customer meaning that more ‘usable’ material isstored on each wagon
• We can recycle the timber waste (off-cut's) from the productionof the components back through the process
• Our existing skilled and highly motivated workforce gives us theconfidence that we would be able to recruit from the local labourmarket
Bedrooms

Kitchens
• 45 new skilled and interesting jobs
• Fully enclosed, internal operation
• No emissions – no chimney
• No visible silos
• No additional HGV traffic
• Better utilisation of existing HGV traffic
• Loading activities will be internal
• No additional impact on current noise levels
• Off-cuts and waste material is recycled back intoproduction process
• Modern insulated building (Acoustic/Heat)
• No additional heat is required as heat is providedfrom the existing factory
• One, single managed facility

H3005 ST22 - Grey-Beige Zebrano
H3006 ST22 - Sand Zebrano
W1000 ST9 - Premium White
F785 ST2 - Soft Gold Microline
The media, increased travel andmulticulturalism are all factors which have ledto the growth in the use of "exotic" woodswithin the home, as consumers increasinglywant to be individual and differentiatethemselves from their neighbours.
We see species like Zebrano becoming morepopular either in bold tones (Grey-BeigeZebrano H3005) or more muted sandyversions (Sand Zebrano H3006).
Both these designs come with a brand newtexture (ST22 Matex) which is linear, deeplyembossed and has both matt and slightlyglossy parts to give the decors real depth bothvisually and to the touch.
The Zebranos work particularly well incombination with uni colours like Crema(U222) and Cappuccino (U205) or for aneven more striking contrast Avocado (U627)could be used.
Within the kitchen, exotics are ideally suitedfor horizontal usage and species likeMacassar (H3025) create a sleek andsophisticated environment, especially whenused as an accent piece in combination withbright whites like Premium White (W1000) orwarm metallics like Soft Gold Microline(F785).
A flavour of our decor development work designed to highlight both new colours and combinations

The textures on these worktops replicate both the look
