It is important to practice computer safety because you can be
effected negatively in so many ways. You can put yourself into
danger without knowing in seconds. You never know who is behind a
computer screen. There are many people out there whom we dont know.
We dont know what they want, or what they are capable of. There are
countless things that you are at risk for when you use the
internet, you just need to be careful. There are some rules that I
think everyone should follow, they dont really affect you too much.
But one thing you should always remember is to use your common
sense and trust your instincts. If something doesnt feel right dont
follow through with it. You always need to watch yourself while
using the internet. Your safety is very important.
Slide 3
Never share any personal information with anyone online.
Remember if it seems too good to be true it probably is. If you
feel uncomfortable or like you are in danger LET AN ADULT KNOW!
They can really help you. Remember that once something is put
online it will ALWAYS be there. Somewhere your embarrassing
pictures, hateful words, angry posts, etc. will always be
somewhere, and can be found. An easy one is to never give passwords
or other login information to anyone.

Employers and Employees: If they are concerned about ergonomics
they will ergonomically improve their workplace therefore allowing
their employees to provide them with better results. A happier,
safer, more efficient environment that will give them better
results. Some things that can be improved are: the way the
employees sit, the lighting,
Slide 7
Not being ergonomic can leave both long and short term effects
on your body: Short Term: -Not good lighting can cause headaches -
Back aches from bad posture Long Term: -Bad lighting can eventually
cause your eyes permanent damage - Bad posture can give you a
permanent back injury -Also trying to treat or cure these problems
can cost you a lot of money, for example constent physiotherapy for
your back pains
Slide 8
A properly ergonomic mouse fits to the natural contours of the
hand or wrist and causes less strain on the body for healthier
computer use. A non- ergonomic mouse will make your wrist cramp up
and will put your hand into an awkward hold of the mouse.

Your intellectual property is your own thoughts, ideas, and
creations. Even when they are put online it is still your property,
you are still the creator. Many of the things we view online are
for our use but that does not mean they are ours. We do not own
them. Also many things we view online are protected by copyright.
Kulwarn Pannu 2013 would be my way to show that I own something, it
is my property.
Slide 10
In Canada, file sharing is legal but only if it is not
protected by copyright. If it is protected then yes, it is illegal
and you will face the consequences for stealing. If you want to use
things that are copyrighted you must get permission from the owner
first.
