LS1 activities: Upgrade, Repair, Commissioning
• HV connectors repair campaign (>100)• New crowbar systems• Replacement of obsolete equipment (e.g. Tetrode):R&D in
progress• New arc detectors (License agreement signed with an external company)
• Control system upgrade• Reliability is a key issue here
Energetic & sporting activities

Installation: equipment, waveguides, water cooling, local cabling LEP equipment: 20 – 30 year old! , CW klystrons now being pulsed 6 HPRF units fully commissioned / on schedule Reliability is a key issue here
Linac 4 – HPRF system installation and commissioning
Linac 4 – HPRF development
3 post phase tuner• 352MHz, 1.5 MW peak• WR 2300, L = 1500 mm, r1=70mm, r2 = 40mm • VSWR ≈ 1.2 [depth 0 -> 100 mm]• S11 ≤ -30 dB [depth 0 -> 90 mm]• Range: ≈ max 60˚
CTF3 Facility
CTF3 maintenance, upgrade & operation :• 11 S Band and 1 L Band power sources• Complexe waveguide systems• HV system upgrade (thyratron replacement by solid state devices)
Plateform for experiments
The test Beam Line (TBL): a small scale version of a CLIC decelerator
Experimental demonstration of the:• deceleration process • beam dymanic issues• power production in PETS• power transfer to accelerating structures• main beam acceleration => high gradients

Production of RF accelerating structures is very challenging
It comprises subsequent steps and quality analysis control
High Gradient Testing – Xbox1
TD26R05CC
Full-fledged CLIC accelerating structure TD26R05CC build by CERN is successfully processed in XBOX1 up to 107 MW/m at 250 ns pulses
