student responds to Christ’s invitation to follow Him
and form a mature relationship with Him.
Discipleship Groups meet on Wednesday evenings
from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. beginning in St. Joseph Church.
Confirmation preparation is incorporated into the

CATECHESIS OF THEGOOD SHEPHERD (CGS)
All Saints Parish assists parents in their primary role as
their child(ren)’s teacher of the Catholic Faith by
providing lessons for parents to use at home with their
1st through 6th grade child(ren) according to the
family's schedule.
Additionally, parents and children gather together one
Wednesday each month for Family Sessions. Family
Sessions meet from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in St. Joseph
Church and Richter Hall. Families receive an introduction
to the month's topic and work on a part of the month's
lesson. Childcare is provided for young children.
Beginning in the 2020-2021 school year, at least one
parent must be in attendance with their child(ren)
because children will sit with their parents in Richter
Hall. Families will be contacted to select which
Wednesday of the month they will meet after
registering for Faith Formation.
FAMILY OF FAITH
"The Christian home is the placewhere children receive the first
proclamation of the faith. For thisreason the family home is rightly
called 'the domestic church,' acommunity of grace and prayer, a
school of human virtues and ofChristian charity" (Catechism of
the Catholic Church 1666).
Theology Nights are presented once a month for
parents and all adults of our parish to be formed in
knowledge of the faith. The topics are based upon
the monthly themes of the Family of Faith program,
and can be helpful for parent preparation of the
month's lessons.
THEOLOGY NIGHTS
2nd grade students who participate in the Family of
Faith program attend two additional monthly
meetings on Wednesday nights in a classroom
setting that focus on sacramental preparation for
Reconciliation and Holy Communion. Parents are not
required to attend these sessions. Students must
complete one year of the Family of Faith program
before beginning Sacramental preparation.
FIRST RECONCILIATION& FIRST COMMUNION
CGS is a religious formation program for children
ages 3 - Kindergarten based on the
Montessori principles of education. In a CGS
environment, the children receive small group
presentations based on Scripture and Liturgy, and
work with corresponding hands-on materials that
invite them to ponder the mysteries of our
faith. CGS meets on a weekly basis with multiple
sessions from which to choose.
