• Integrity- Do the right thing even though no one is looking. • Failure Leads to Success: We can learn from our mistakes and make
changes needed to be more successful in the future. We don’t always get it right the first time.
• Speak with Good Purpose: Be positive with your words. When there is a problem, avoid gossip and communicate with the person directly involved. Words are powerful!
• This is It!: Focus on Today! Use your time wisely and place your focus and attention on the present.
• Commitment: Try hard and don’t give up. Do what you set out to do. Always put forth your best effort.
• Ownership: Take responsibility for your thoughts, feelings, words, and actions. Tell the truth.
• Flexibility: Flexibility allows us multiple ways to get the result. • Balance: Make choices that lead to lasting fulfillment. Strong Mind=Happy

Sustained Silent Reading is a program designed to encourage students to independently read books of their choice.
On Monday, Wednesday and Friday, the first 15 minutes of class will be set-aside for SSR. At this time, everyone in the classroom will be required to read silently. Periodically, students will also be required to complete a reading response activity that will encourage them to think about and evaluate what they have been reading.
I am looking forward to an amazing year with your child. We had a wonderful first
day and
“The Best Is Yet To Come.”
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a conference at [email protected] or (210)
