A Visit To The Zoo

• A visit to the zoo is designed as a game to teach vocabulary for elementary level in ESL classrooms and for intermediate level in EFL classrooms. It supposed to make the students imagine that they are in a real visit. If they answer correctly they well continue walking and knowing about the next animal and if they don’t they have to turn around and read about the animal and hear its sound. Involving students imagination by using pictures and sounds and make it as a real trip enable the student to remember the animals names better.

• This activity is better to be given at end of the lesson. The teacher should display the slides ,reading the descriptions of each animal as if the animal talking to the students , the students should guess which animal has been described. If the students have difficulties knowing the animal , the teacher have a choice to make them hear the sound of the animal described.

• The students after this activity should:-Know the names of the animals included ,recognizing their shape and voice and the most important characteristics in English.-The students should know how to describe the actions of the animals included.
